TGIF!

Good morning, ladies! It's finally Friday! Did this week feel extra long to anyone else? What's up for the weekend?

Tonight FI and I will be at the Devils/Flyers game. I am from Philly but I hate the Flyers.

Tomorrow is my uncle's surprise birthday party. I'm so excited to see my family! I haven't seen them since Christmas which is a long time for us.

Tomorrow night is my (secret) bachelorette party. I say secret because I'm not supposed to know about it but I do. I will still act surprised when the time comes, though. I got some really great shoes last night to wear with the dress I bought earlier this week.

Sunday I will probably be recovering from Saturday night.

And I'm throwing in Monday here since I'm off for President's Day! I can't wait to sleep in with FI. We have a Devils game in the afternoon but other than that I think we're planning on having a lazy day together.

Re: TGIF!

  • Sounds like you're going to have a busy weekend!  Have fun at your "surprise" bachelorette party lol.

Tonight I'm going for my gel manicure and probably just hang around at home

Saturday I'm dropping my car off to get the oil changed and then my friend and I are going to Trader Joe's and probably get lunch.

Sunday I'll be cleaning and doing laundry.

    I'm so lame lol.

  • rdr- have fun at the surprise bachelorette party!!! Do you know where you are going or what you are doing??

Tonight we are just staying in and relaxing.  This week has been so long and so exhausting.  My body aches from all of the dancing I've been doing. Saturday morning/afternoon I've got rehearsal.  Saturday night is my surprise dinner for Valentine's Day with the BF.  We usually go to the same place every year for Valentine's Day so my guess is that it's there.

Sunday afternoon I've got rehearsal.  Then just staying in the rest of the day and watching Walking Dead.  We both have off on Monday!! I told BF I wanted to go to the mall and do some shopping I need to get my mom a birthday gift and I have a bunch of gift cards from Christmas I'd like to spend. Victoria Secrets, Sephora, Express.  I hoping to sleep in a little bit on Monday.

  • ha About knowing the surprise. We're supposed to surprise my mom tomorrow. Fingers crossed that she doesn't know yet!

Tonight, grocery shopping for house guests, and hanging out with some friends, probably watching tv.

Tomorrow clean like mad woman/set up house for other people sleeping there. Guests should arrive around dinner, surprise my mom with their presence, go out to dinner.

Sunday probably a couple of wine tastings.

Monday grocery shopping for the week and hanging out with my H.
  • I wish I got President's Day off on Monday. I wanted to sleep in so bad this morning but it will have to wait until tomorrow morning. I feel icky today because BF cooked for me last night and I ate way too much and I'm still full. I hate that feeling!

Last night at dinner he said that he wants to take me out to a surprise dinner tonight and that I need to be ready to go by 5:30....5:30?!?!? I get off work at 5:00 and it takes me 15-20 minutes to get home. I don't know how that is going to work out but I guess we will see.

Saturday BF has a tennis match and after that we might go have dinner with his Mom and stepdad. Sunday we have church and I'll probably clean my place.
  • I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOU!!!!!!!!!

Tonight I have my first GS meeting as a leader, then I have to run by mom's, and then I'm going to M's for our workout and catch up on Chopped and BBT.

Tomorrow morning I'm driving up to Sakaroni's so we can go shopping, and then I'm off to Jersey for Rach's (secret) b-party.  And then I will be drunk.

Sunday I'm recovering and then driving home.

Monday I have a 4-6 mile run.  Should be a party.

At some point I also have work to do.  I'll probably do it Monday before/after my run.

  • I'm jealous of everyone who gets Monday off.  I will be at work.

Have fun at your bachelorette party, RDR!

Saturday FI and I are meeting with an officiant.  Then I am going to try to squeeze in a run before going to see my best friend for the day.  I'm not sure what we will be doing.  Probably causing trouble.

Sunday is open at this point.  Which probably means doing laundry.

Oh that sounds like such a good time!! I hope you have fun.  Yay for Peek and Sak joining you too!

  • RDR - That's great that you have some idea of where you're going/what you're doing. I know I would HATE if I didn't have a good outfit planned out in advance. I know it's silly, but I have a lot more fun if I feel great about how I look, and I think that's true for a lot of women, lol.

SO HAPPY IT'S FRIDAY. Since BF got paid yesterday, he's taking me out tonight in NYC. Not sure what we're doing yet.

Tomorrow I'm driving out to Long Island to spend the day with my lovely mama. Unfortunately, she's making me see a doctor to get this small lump on my neck (under the skin) checked out, so I'm freaking out a little about that. After that, she's taking me shopping for apartment decor as a belated B-day present, and we'll go out to lunch. It's rare I get time with my mom without my sisters or BF nearby, and I can't wait to really catch up and talk about EVERYTHING with her.

Sunday - probably just going to the dog park with Kaya, and maybe going to Trader Joes.

  • Have fun at your bachelorette party, rdr!

Tonight I think BF and I will just make dinner and stay in and watch a movie or two. I'm going to attempt to stay up past 10 PM but, since I wake up at 5 AM it's always hard for me, lol.

Saturday I think BF and I are going to the movies with one of his friend's and his FI. It depends on if they can get a sitter for their son, if not it'll just be us two. I think we're going to go see Zero Dark Thirty. It's still out at one of the theatres by our house.

Sunday I'm going out to lunch with a friend I haven't seen in almost 6 months and doing some shopping.

I am so happy to have Monday off. I am not doing anything except I will make myself go to the gym. I need to get back in to a normal workout routine. I slacked a lot this week, and also ate Dairy Queen last night.

  • This week actually went by really fast for me since I was down with the flu the first few days of the week.

Tonight I'm making this super easy chicken meatball and tortellini soup that BF goes nuts over.  He's spending the night and we're both exhausted so we plan to crash early.
Saturday - I have to run 8 miles in the morning. (5 weeks until my 11th half marathon)
Then I'm taking BF to an airplane museum that is supposed to be a lot of fun.
And then we are going to see Lady & the Tramp at the El Capitan Theatre in LA as part of my V-day gift.

Phew that's going to be a long day! We're definitely catching up on not seeing each other a few days while I had my flu.

Sunday - Sleeping in and bf is finally bringing his itty bitty chihuahua over to meet my cats. Time to see how merging households is going to work.

Monday - I'm taking my mom to a medical appt. And then hope to get in a good workout.
  • I'm working from home today.  Tomorrow I'm shopping with peek and then fiesta-ing with rdr for her "secret" party.  I work Sunday and Monday, so mine is boring.

I just heard about this this am on the radio but hadn't had a chance to follow up it's been busy here at work.  All I have to say is that is crazy and if I ever saw it I'd become one of those doomsday preppers.

Did they know it was coming?  I'm assuming not from some of the videos, but it seems like it's a little too big to not have someone see it.

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • H and I are off work today and Monday!  we slept in today, cleaned the house a little bit, and then went to Target and PetsMart.  H got a gym bag for Valentine's (so romantic, but he was pumped because he was using a really crappy grocery bag) so he picked it out at Target.  I also found a lamp, so I'm sitting my favorite chair next to my new lamp working on Accounting for my test Monday.  we're going out for hibachi tonight and doing our weekly grocery shop!

tomorrow I will study some more, and we might work in the yard.  at some point this weekend we have to till all the soil and prep the garden for spring planting, trim the bushes, new mulch, etc.  so we might do that tomorrow if the weather is nice.

so basically a really open weekend, I'm excited!  I have lots of studying to do but at least I'm in my PJs and not at work, right?!?
  • P.S. have fun rdr!  be sure to post pictures later.  :)
  • Everyone's weekends sound like so much fun! Highly jealous of the "surprise" bachelorette, I hope you have a ton of fun ; We have the kids every weekend and Gav the youngest turns 11 on Monday so we are celebrating this weekend. Tomorrow is a relaxing day, but I'll probably drag them out to change cell plans. Sunday we are taking Gavin to buy a baseball glove, balls, and a bat he is playing baseball for the first time this year!, then going to play laser tag upon his request. Then we'll hit the arcade at the laser tag place, then dinner, and then ice cream on the way home. Monday the boys have off, so Oscar took the day off work and I took a half day. I'll make breakfast or we'll go get donuts, then I'll go back to work and he'll take them home to their mom. Busy, but a good weekend!

  • Have fun at your B-party RDR!
This weekend is pretty low key.  Dinner tonight with our friends and their baby!  Yay I get to hold a baby.  Sunday we are probably going to visit our parents so that should be fun.  Monday we might go wine tasting.  Either that or I am going shopping so it should be a good weekend.
