caribean in july?

we are looking at honeymoon options for the beginning of july, i would love to go to the caribean and to an all inclusive. fiance however says it will be too hot that time of year and that we will be miserable and suggests staying in the US for honeymoon and going to the caribean later on...which i kno will turn into years away!

we stayed in Jamaica in July and it was perfect, mid 80's for highs and only rained for about an hour two of the days, it was much better weather than the midwest in July!

Most of the times I've been to the Caribbean or Mexico have been in July and August. It's hot, as it is anywhere in the summer, but it's not unbearable. Especially if you plan on hanging out by the pool or the beach. Just make sure you stay hydrated, wear plenty of sunscreen, and sign up for water related excursions such as snorkeling, parasailing, river tubing, jet skis, etc.. that way you can stay cool even if you're on a guided tour.

I definitely wouldn't write off the Caribbean and push a great trip back until later just because it may be hot out. You'll most likely live in your bathing suits and in the water during the day and have so much fun!

We went to the Dominican Republic in July and it was hot, but you are cooled by the breeze! We stayed at a Secrets resort and loved it. I would do it again!

You can google the average temp. per month. I've been to Caribbean in the summer and it's really not that hot. Like someone earlier said, the breeze cools you off and the water feels great.

I agree with this! We are going to Aruba at the end of July for our HM. I would never not go away b/c it could be hot. There could be a heatwave in NJ in July that could be even hotter than Aruba.

We HMd in Mexico in July and it was cooler there than it was back home in MN! It was in the 80s all week and perfect. Every day was sunny and clear. Yes, it could be hotter than that, but you will be on the beach. It tends to be windy in the Caribbean during the summer, so that helps.

I have been to the Caribbean many times (about 10 or more) and I have always gone in the summer (June-August). It is of course hot but if you are going for a beach vacation it is perfect! The sun is shining and the water is great. Your bedrooms will be air conditioned and it won't feel as hot near the beach because of the ocean breeze. you'll be fine.

Take your HM now or it may never happen. Several of my friends did this and advised me against it.
