200 guest venue!!!

I currently have a list of 200 possible attendees for my wedding. Can anyone please suggest a few venues in Miami/Coral Gables/Miami Beach/Brickell area that doesn't cost more than $100 per plate (trying to stay on budget).

Thank you very much !!!!

  • You might have to cut guests to stay on budget....

  • Try the Fire Tower! This venue fits a lot of ppl...600 or more! I believe their catering vendors are affordable or so I have been told by a bride that is getting married there.

Also, have you considered any venues which allow you to bring your own caterering? The positive thing about bringing in your own caterer is that you can get what you are looking for rather than selecting from options and you can negotiate the price per plate. Remember, most venues that require you to use their catering make their most profit in the food.

  • Try Comber hall In coral gables - they can fit 220 in thier smaller room and no idea how many in their larger. I booked 1.5 years ago and their basic package was 90 p/person. I know the prices have gone up soon, but no idea how much - I couldn't imagine it's much over your budget. GL!

  • Try the Fire Tower! It fits more than 600 guests easily and their catering options are well below your budget. Also, have you considered looking at venues where you can bring your own caterer? You can negotiate with the vendor which you like and want to use and come under your budget. Remember, venues which require you to use their catering services are making their biggest profit just on the food alone. GL! :)
  • Hello.... Try the Westin Colonnade Rotunda on Miracle Mile.... I got a great offer and their packages are negotiable.... The do have a limit and if you book on the months of June-September the limit on a Saturday is $10,000.... Their price range is $70-80 but it includes cocktail appetizers, your bridal presidential suite, Cake, chiavarry chairs, house linens, open bar for 5 hours... you get a separte cocktail area.... you are able to remove a lot of things like chiavari chairs and cake... you could use their own chairs and that will live you exactly on $61-71 per person....  & the room is a dream itself.... HTH.... GL

  • I think any country club should be able to accomodate your party. We're getting married at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club in Hollywood and the room could definitely hold 200 people. They also have packages that are well within your budget. Not to mention, Carol is amazing!

Coral Gables Country Club starts at $90 pp and can accommodate up to 500 people and it is beautiful!  Keep in mind that to the base price you have to add service charge and tax.  HTH!
  • I think you might have to add more to your budget for the venue.
