Snarky Brides

Things that piss me off...

I now know of at least three people who have NOT received their wedding invites...and these include my BROTHER and my MC!?!?! And of course, there could be plenty more but I have no way of knowing until closer to the wedding date when they haven't RSVPed (I only know of these because I asked them about it out of curiosity)...

I love spending money on crap that never goes anywhere...this sucks.

What pisses you off?

Re: Things that piss me off...

  • oh, and I am only ranting here because I can't rant about people not getting wedding invites on FB since that would be rude...and damn it, I want to rant!
  • H's job for making him work over the holiday weekend. I mean, I know he works in the beer industry and it's a huge holiday for that, but come on. He has to work on freaking Thanksgiving and the day before and after Christmas (only because we can't sell beer on Christmas). FFS, I just want to take a vacation around a holiday sometime.
  • Ugh, lala., yes. That severely pisses me off. The constant incompetence of this entire oil disaster just blows my mind. Just one thing after the other.
  • 7 hour lab class. Why couldn't my program break the lab up into 2 days or something?

  • this one could've been worse, but still. maybe next time it will be. and I'll have to pay an arm and a leg for oysters, and that's the real tragedy.
  • just kidding. I hate oysters.
  • I'll rant with you number. A few people haven't gotten our invites that we know of, who knows how many didn't get them that we don't know of. I really wish I could do a fb thing to le t me know if you haven't gotten an invite, but that'll never work because too many people on fb aren't invited to the wedding or at home celebration. I dislike the post office. I wonder how many wedding invites are in postal purgatory?
  • My lazy boss who overloads me with work and then throws a fit if i mess up ONCE !

    Whatever...
  • Yes 7 hours and it isn't even a science lab.

I love oysters. I miss them.

  • trying to work in a completely disorganized clusterfuck of an office currently pisses me off. If anything could go wrong this week, it has, and its making me want to drive into oncoming traffic.
  • Lately one thing that pisses me off is that I get a better return at the beer store if I buy cans as opposed to bottles but I cant use the couch cushions as a beer holder like I can with bottles. Its a conundrum.
  • my coworker who will come over tell me she has a call for me explain ALLLLLLL about it then I say fine transfer it over....upon which I answer "hey so-and-so" and she is like "oh it's me, i have blah blah blah here we flipping go again!"

UGH you don't need to tell me it TWICE once in person and once on the effin phone!

  • This freaking summer cold. I was feeling better, like 95% fine yesterday, and even through most of the day today. About an hour ago I started coughing and just generally feeling crappy again :(

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010
currently? My ovaries.
    Posted by Steph0871
May I ask about this? Because I can feel it when I ovulate. People say I'm crazy. No, I'm not. I know EXACTLY when it happens, and from which ovary, because it hurts like a motherfucker.

FMIL is hosting the RD, but doesn't want to deal with the RSVPs because she "doesn't know anyone" and doesn't have the list. Hey, guess how RSVPs work? I give you the list of people invited. They call you and say, "Hi, I'm Meredith's friend Jane. I'm just calling to let you know I'll be at the rehearsal dinner. Thanks!" Then you check them off on the list I gave you. The way Fi told me she responded makes me think she was shocked that we would ever assume she might want to deal with the event she's hosting.

I often wonder why FI's family is so socially inept. You know how sometimes smart people have absolutely no social skills? It's like that.

  • Oh, and we've had 2 invitations returned. One like 3 weeks after we sent them. And they were both local, WTF? (And I'm debating NOT tracking those people down. They didn't get STDs.)

  • Every time I cook scrambled eggs, they stick to the end of the spatula and it takes me forever to scrub them all the way off.

I'm with you Jenny. All my friends say I'm crazy and its something else. Nope. I remember reading somewhere a while ago that only small percentage like 3% or 5% of women can feel when they ovulate.

  • RIght now I'm angry at DH because I came home this week to visit my sister and am driving back tomorrow morning and he tells me today that he wants us to drive back up here again on Saturday to hang out with his family.

I told him he needs to learn to plan in advance so I could have packed enough to stay until Sunday or Monday and quite frankly... I don't want to hang out with his family for a wide variety of reasons. Sigh.

I thought I was the only one with this issue. I swear it doesn't matter how long I soak the damn thing, it still is a hassle to clean.
  • So.. I'm not alone in feeling it? That's crazy, I feel (oddly) better haha.

And about the egg thing.. happens to me too, all the time! Clearly I do not have a nonstick spatula.
  • The d!ckhead who threw his cigarette out his window this morning.

I too have the issue of the scrambled egg spatula. Especially when its plastic.

My DH, because I went home yesterday, cleaned the cat box, took the trash out, did laundry, vacuumed, dusted, cleaned the kitchen counters, and made salsa to go with our dinner. He comes home and cooks, and I ask him to help me clean the pan, and proceeds to make a huge mess all over the counter (that I had just cleaned). I finally just told him to leave my kitchen before I killed him. He makes a bigger mess "cleaning up" then the actually mess.

Repeat after me.......you love him, you love him.

    Jenny- Love the new siggy!
