Looking for an amazing officiate

Hey future brides!!

I'm having the hardest time finding an officiate for our eastern Wa wedding. Neither of us are religious and we really are just looking for someone with a sense of humor who will make the experience great for everyone. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

I don't have anyone to recommend, but just wanted to clarify that it sounds like you're looking for someone to conduct a secular service, not non-denominational. Non-D means Christian service, just not of a particular Christian denomination.

Have you tried calling the county to ask them? I believe that county/district court judges sometimes will officiate weddings off-site.

Isn't there another Washington board for Eastern Wa folks?  I thought there was...

Sorry, not sure anyone here is getting married on that side of the mountains.

My husband's uncle was officiated specifically to do our wedding.  He was great and it was completely free to get it done online.

Thanks Aleighy! That is a great idea!

I posted on the Seattle website b/c we are only 90 minutes from Seattle, so it's not like people won't drive here.

My sister became ordained by 1st Nation Church to be our officiant.  Do you have anyone close to you who is good at public speaking who would be willing to perform your ceremony as a gift?

I used Debra Edelbrock, and she did a fantastic non-religious wedding for us.  Plus she has a really calm energy that totally made us feel relaxed with all of those people looking at us!

Don't know if he will go to Eastern WA but Rev Ray VanWinkle is the greatest! He will do the ceremony as religiously or non-religiously as you want it!
I am like a falling star who has finally found her place next to another in a lovely constellation, where we will sparkle in the heavens forever
