I think if a surgeon told me they were sleep deprived I would want them to go get some sleep and then come back to me....unless the surgery was dire and HAD to be done at that moment. Then I'm not sure what I would say.
Cause 1. Doesn't the pt always have that right anyway (to refuse the surgeon) and
2. I'm gonna guess that almost every surgeon would have to tell all their patients that they are sleep deprived. I mean really? A AAA at 3am? Do you really think he's well rested? I'b be more concerned with their general skill level rather than how many hours they've slept. I've seen plenty of surgeons I wouldn't let touch my dog after 10 hours of sleep, and others I wouldn't question if they've been up for 24 hours.
I skip the saffron and pancetta and cut the parmesan about in half, and it's still super rich and delicious. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it...
And for this year, I hope I kick the shiit out of my thesis defense, and that DH finds a job that makes him happy in Albany after we move, and that we find an awesome apartment there.
My resolution is to find a summer job that is related to law since all I keep hearing from my professors is how important it is to start your 2L year off with connections to a law firm somewhere.
I also want to read more that is not related to my school stuff. We'll see how that goes. I just finished Ch.1 of "The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo" and I'm hoping I love it.
Manda, I was a little traumatized by my last encounter with dim sum. We went with our Korean/Chinese friends, and let them do the ordering... I ate chicken feet, 1000 year old egg... I'm glad I tried them but I can't say I loved it.
We're going to fancy-arse Macaroni Grill for dinner, yo. New Years tradition.
Oh! We found an apartment today, too! Gave the deposit, now we just have to get approved (which I'm not too concerned about, but there's always something stressful about applications).
Oh god, Kiki. I mean Bot. I mean, YOU! Listen. Come to DC and I will take you for non-gross dim sum. We had honey pork in a steamed dumpling, duck spring rolls, honey chicken buns, and black pepper asparagus tempura. I want more.
Re: FFT?/GOOD MORNING AWESOME EENERS!!!
Mine is to get a job and help us financially.
You?
Wedding stuff.
Wedding stuff.
I'm impressed, ladies. This has to be some kind of a record.
And Amoro, for hopes for this year, I hope that either DH or I will get a good, full-time job with benefits. After that, everything's gravy :P
Planning!.....Married!

And I love it. HAPPY NEW YEAR! (From a semi-intoxicated Panda)
oh, of course I should, who am I kidding? I'll be back in five with a glass of Riesling.

OMG, the news says it is 6 degrees out right now!
