Oops. Forgot the SASE for RSVPs

Ugh...is that totally tacky? I have been too busy with work and life to even think about the little things. I sent out invitations a couple of weeks ago with no self-addressed stamped envelopes for guests to send back the RSVPs.

Hm, I'm sure it'll be okay. It won't help your mail-in response rate but I'm sure most people won't be too upset. I don't know if there's much you can do at this point.

Maybe you could set up an online RSVP for guests on your wedding website to make things easier?

You should probably expect to not get a lot back, you should still wait until your RSVP date to start making phone calls.

I think you'll be fine :) While YES it is nice to have addressed and stamped envelopes for the RSVP's, to me, I've always considered it an 'extra' touch as Im perfectly capable of addressing and stamping something myself.

Just keep an eye on your count and I'm sure things will be fine. Plus, after you're deadline, you can always call any missing rsvp's.

Hope things are going well for you!

I think the biggest problem could be people not knowing the address to send the RSVP too.  I think the website is a good idea for online RSVPs. You could send an email out (at least for anyone you know their email address) saying "woops" and giving your address and RSVP website link. You will find out one way or another even if you have to make more phone calls.

Wait, no stamp? Or no envelope at all?  I guess it doesn't change my answer.  Personally, I'd have to go buy a stamp if you didn't send one, that's what makes me say your response rate will likely suffer.

No stamp or return envelope at all. Our guest list is small. We're getting married in Aruba and have been in frequent contact with everyone about flights/hotel etc so we know exactly who is going. I may set up an online site as you suggested where people can tell me which dinner they want.  It looks like we'll have around 25 guests max.  I didnt even realize I had forgotten to add a stamped envelope until a friend sent me a text today for my address.

You should be fine with that intimate a wedding, and the fact that you'll be going out of the country.  I can't imagine folks wouldn't be in close touch with you. And, the bonus is you have a very manageable number to stay in touch with.  Plus the excuse of "bride brain" to explain the oversight!
