Nevada-Las Vegas

Imagine Vegas?

I'm new here my name is Laci. I was just wondering if anyone has used the company Imagine Vegas? I read a bunch of reviews on weddingwire&the wedding channel and everyone was 5 star but I was wondering if anyone personally could tell me their experience. We are getting a dinner package and getting married under the Welcome to Las Vegas sign with just our parents. I've heard their photos are fantastic which is the main thing I'm worried about beyond my control but anyway, if anyone has used them OR gotten married under the sign I'd love to hear how it went!

Re: Imagine Vegas?

  • Welcome to the Vegas board.  I've only heard about them as it relates to the resorts where they have an exclusive agreement, and in those cases they're incredibly expensive.  They may be cheaper when using them directly but check everything including digital rights to the images, aka the photo cd.  I'd recommend looking at some other options here:

Their package is only $1800 with 4 hours of photography so I really don't consider that expensive, at all. I'd have no idea how to plan a wedding under the sign on my own and I don't want to do a chapel wedding, or hotel due to the cost. I'm going to check into the photo cd as I read somewhere it can be $500 to get the rights to the photos. I looked on your site but couldn't find anything about a sign wedding?
  • I haven't heard anything about that company but I feel like you could pay half that if you set it up yourself.  $1800 seems really steep especially when you don't get the rights to the pictures! If you "build your own package" you could get a minister for a few hundred dollars, a photographer (such as mine for instance) for 4 hours which would be $650 according to his website and you get the rights to the photos! That gives you $850 left over for food which obviously would be plenty to feed the four of you! Just a suggestion but whatever you decide I'm sure you will have a wonderful time on your special day!!! Welcome to the board :)

Well $1800 + $500 for the CD is already more than we paid Mike L for what was 10 hours on our wedding day and an hour the night before at the rehearsal dinner with two photographers and all the digitals, so yes, I consider Imagine to be expensive.

Having a wedding under the sign is easy to plan; all you need is an officiant, decide when to go, and have all your vendors show up at the right time.  However, be prepared for the fact that if you try to do this during a peak visit time of day, you could encounter some pissed off people if they show up to get a picture and you ask them to wait 15 minutes so you can have your wedding there.  There's no 'staff' or any type of formal line at the sign, people just normally are nice enough to form their own line and wait their turn, but if you start holding an event there, you could easily have random drunk people walk right through your wedding because they decided you were taking too long.

  • Is cost the only thing keeping you from looking into a chapel and/or hotel? My chapel package is not even 1/3 of that price and includes transportation for myself and all of my guests, flowers, etc.

Maybe you guys are right, I don't know. I'll have to look into it I guess I just like the idea of someone else being in charge and dealing with the planning. Here photographers are 2000+ for a wedding so I assumed it would be waaaay more to do it my own. I'll have to look into photographers in the area. I'll check out the reviews here and vegasgroom's website.

The $1800 includes officiant, flowers, dinner for 6, they take you around to all the special spots to get photo's, ect not JUST the photo's but I guess that is kind of expensive when you think about it. Hmmm...I guess I'll look into it more and go from there. We are just in the very beginning stages of planning!

If someone drunk barged in on my wedding I'd probably either laugh hysterically or turn into bridezilla, I don't know which! lol

AFA the chapel/hotel, no it isn't the only reason it just isn't my style/cup of tea. I'm just stuck on the idea of doing it under the sign and I don't even know why haha
  • I think I've solved it! lol

You are talking about this company correct? - http://www.imaginevegas.com/

I think you HAVE solved it!!!  I was thinking the same thing once she started talking about the price including things other than pictures.

I have heard about 'Imagine Vegas"! No first hand experience, but my hairdresser (who is also family and I trust very much lol so not some random I stopped in to see at the salon) had one of her clients recommend them to me when she told her about our plans for a vegas wedding. Her son had just got married in LV and used them. We're from Canada and she said they were great to deal with and easy to plan even with the long distance!

I think if you're looking for someone else to plan it for you and just want to show up on the day, this could be a good option for you!

  • Yep I'm talking about Imaginevegas.com, glad to hear people are recommending it! I've read nothing but good reviews about them but still planning a wedding from far away is nerve wracking. I emailed them and asked them some questions that I had!
  • Ah, yeah I've never heard of them either, I only knew of Imagine as the one hooked up with Planet Hollywood, etc.

Just to give you some ideas on pricing, third party Vegas photographers that come highly recommended tend to be in the $900 to $2500 range for all day coverage, digital rights and typically some prints.  You can often get them for less if it's not a full day but some may require full day fees if it's a weekend day since there are obviously a lot of weddings that occur in Vegas.

Officiants that will come to you and marry you wherever you want tend to be in the $100 to $200 range.

Hair & makeup that come to you, $100 to $300.

You could get a day of coordinator to do everything for you too; we used one so we didn't have to deal with any of that mess on wedding day.

  • I emailed them and got a response back. It's $1950 for 4 hours of photography, a coodinator, dinner for 6, 3 hours in the limo and photo stops at the main places you'd want photos, plus bouquet and that DOES include the rights to the photo's which is a huge plus. They said other people may be at the sign but they try to make the ceremony quickly and they are pretty much always able to get picks alone under the sign afterwards.

I'm still going to look into doing it "piece by piece" myself and see what is cheaper. Just thought I'd update incase anyone else was looking into using them and I finally got a bit more info.
