Can we revisit tipping?

Sorry, I know this has been talked about numerous times...

Who in the world do I tip?

The restaurant has an 18% gratuity they'll add to that bill. I know I should tip my hair and make up stylist and driver if we get one. What about the other things?

Minister
Alterations
Flowers
Photog
Coordinators at the ceremony site and reception site

That's all I can think of for now.

Thanks!!

    Musicians
    DJ
    Hair/Makeup
    Driver
Videographer if you have one (though I'd wait until you get the finished product - I did not tip ours due to getting the video more than 6 months after our wedding)

I was also wondering this for budgeting purposes.... what % are you supposed to tip everyone?

Yes, I would.  There's different camps on tipping the photog in terms of before/after.  Also, we didn't "tip" our minister, but we did pay an honorarium (typical in religious settings) that's basically a tip.  We based ours on our relationship with the minister - it's really a personal decision.

PS - no to the coordinators at the ceremony and reception sites - they are doing their job to coordinate the day, and that fee is built into your rental fees.  If you have a coordinator who goes above and beyond, you could always thank them with an additional tip, especially if they are a DOC.

I don't think you have to tip the florist or the alterations person.

If I wanted to hear the pitter-patter of little feet, I'd put shoes on the cat. image
