Chimney Sweep?

Hi everyone! My fiance and I are getting married in December 2011. He's from England, and there is an English tradition that it is good luck for a bride to get kissed by a chimney sweep on her wedding day. Do chimney sweeps even exist in New Orleans? Is anyone aware of a chimney sweep in New Orleans that wears traditional chimney sweep attire that I could call?

    Hi Terri-
    I'm honestly not sure, but it's possible that with the old chimneys in the old French Quarter houses out there that there are some. I would try a google search for them in the FQ. Good luck!

    It doesn't list "kissing a bride" in their services but who wouldn't want to?!  That sounds like a fun tradition!  Maybe ask if they'll be in the area that day and time.  I'm sure they wouldn't mind dropping by for a smooch.
