We are throwing a co-ed wedding shower.  Who do I invite?  I don't want to invite everyone who is invited to the wedding because that is what the wedding is for.  We are doing a wine and cheese party.  Any advice will be appreciated.

    Is this your own shower?  You don't throw your own shower.  It's very rude.  If someone else offers to host a shower for you, they'll take care of all this.

    Shower guestlists should include the couple's closest friends and family, usually no more than 25 people.

    You don't throw gift giving parties, in your honor, for yourself.  It is horribly rude, inappropriate, and gift grabby.

    On the off chance that you are actually throwing this party for someone else: since this is a co-ed shower only the closest friends and family of the couple should be invited.  Anymore than 25-30 can be overkill and veeery boring for the guest.

    It is not my shower.  I am throwing it for another bride.  I have never done a couples shower and was worried about it getting too big.  But thanks for the support.
