On the engagement party favors should we put the engagement the couple actually got engaged or the day of the party ?

    At our Engagement Party.. the favors were our save-the-date magnets, personalized match books in our wedding colors, and scented votive candles. The matchbooks had our names and wedding date on it.

    I'm not having an engagement party, just a dinner for our families to meet each other and celebrate in a close circle. I'm not sure if I want a big bash yet so I will not send any save the day cards. We plan our wedding date on September 2013. I will send them 10 months before the wedding, because half our friends live abroad.

    It really depends if your engagement party is close to your wedding date, and if you have a guest list ready.
