Ring Bearer Boutonniere??

My florists advised against giving my RB one. He will turn 4 the day before the wedding. Their reasoning is that he would likely be tempted to play with it. I am getting one for his 7 year old brother (an usher) and I have seen many other brides from my wedding month board giving their RBs one.

Thoughts?

Our RB had them, but they are older. Our 5 year old FG carried a little flower kissing ball and did just fine. I think you'd be OK. I'd just wait to put it on him until right before the ceremony starts. Then maybe take it right off after pictures.

I agree with Meegles. Put it on right before the ceremony and/or pictures and I am sure he will be fine.

I would, however, talk to your florist about possibly using a floral magnet for the bout instead of the traditional pin. That way if he does play with it or pull it off he won't accidentedly prick himself.

My RB turned three in May, he will have one. If he takes it off, he takes it off. Right now, he wants a wrist corsage like his sister...

We chose not to have bouts for our RBs. They were 3 and 5 at our wedding.

I do like PPs suggestion of a magnet if you do one, though.

Thanks ladies. I will check with the magnet thing. I know they are doing that for the ladies corsages (MOB, MOH, and reader).

My RB is 4, he will be wearing a bout. He also were one for my brothers wedding 2 years ago with no issues.

My RB will only be 2 1/2 and he'll have one. Our florist suggested the magnet as well for safety reasons. Honestly, if he does wreck it, oh well!
