Hey girls. So today, FI and I went grocery shopping in Whole Foods and I picked up the latest issue of Matha Stewart Weddings...and I saw the CUTEST idea for DIY STDs.
I was thinking of changing "A winning combination" to "Lucky in Love" and substituting "August" for numbers (since some of my invitees are European, and do DDMMYY instead of MMDDYY.)
What do you girls think?
EDIT: And instead of hearts, I was thinking of doing flower shapes...since it'll be an outdoor wedding.
Now that I've got more free time, I'm thinking I should get cracking on these suckers since my wedding is a DW.

I think they're cute! Super duper cute.
[QUOTE]Heehee. I totally thought this was going to be another one of your threads about taboo topics, Shoes. I was all ready to be like, um, you want to know who's had STDs now?! Ahem. Anyway. Scratch-off STDs sound like fun; but does the idea fit with the vision/theme you have in mind for your wedding? (Can you tell I haven't looked at your planning bio yet? I need to do that.)

<div>I think it does. STDs don't have to be super formal. And the wedding itself will be an outdoor ceremony, so it won't be super formal. And I like the "lucky in love" theme. I'm trying to think of other ways I could tie it in. Maybe I could incorporate it into the name of the signature cocktail? I could name the cocktail "Liquid Luck" or something.</div><div>
</div><div>Sorry, just tossing out random thoughts.</div>

<div>Okay, gotcha. I guess I just can't get the scratchcard = gambling = informal equation out of my head. They really are super cute, though. Love the look.</div>

Still here and still fabulous!
Married! May 27th, 2012
I might steal the idea and craft it into a wedding announcement, Hawaiian style.... "Getting MAUI'D!" I'm tempted to experiment on my days off this week!

<div>I love the STD's super cute idea. If you need a favor that ties in, what about a <a href="http://www.orientaltrading.com/ui/search/processRequest.do?requestURI=searchMain&Ntx=mode%2bmatchallpartial&Ntt=wine%20charms&N=0&Ntk=all&searchTerm=wine+charms&BP=8895&source=google&cm_mmc=google-_-OTC+Beading-_-wine+charms-_-9ce08fc60f3c4645b16865fcc6f0a3a0&ms=search">lucky wine charm </a><--- Clicky They could be attached to the escort cards... Ok, back to contracts! </div>
[QUOTE]I saw these in MSW yesterday :) Very cute<strong>. Oh and unless you are going to write in where the month/day is I would do separate ones for the Europeans and Americans.

I think this is a good idea, because I still love the number idea, since it goes better with the scratcher.
I had no idea you could make your own scratchers! That is so cute!! This is very fun!
[QUOTE]I think that's a super cute idea shoes, though from the screen shot below, I was wondering who this new poster was 'MeatAuditor' ... :)

Must be Shoes's AE. I can think of a type of meat that's pretty fun to "audit."
