Hello again!
So Ive posted a couple of times on here but this is the first time Ive had a chance to sit and breathe all week so I wanted to make my introduction and add myself to the knottie list.
My name is Crystal, Im 20 years old and originally from Southern NJ. Moved between WV and NJ as a kid and finally when my daughter was born I settled in Morgantown.
My FI Brandon is from a smaller town in IN and came to Morgantown in 2005 for college.
I originally met my FI my freshman year of college at my soroity rush party. HIs frat helped set up our party and was involved in events we had after. We didnt talk much and eventually I left for 4 months to help my sick grandmother in northern pa. As fate would have it, when I moved back to Morgantown and began work 4 weeks after my DD was born, I met up with Brandon once again. Not only did we begin work at the same place on the same day, we had identical schedules. Now that we had time to get to know one another we became instant best friends. That was Sept 2009. By December we chose to take the next step and begin our relationship. I let him meet my DD soon after that and he fell in love with her in an instant. He treated her just like she was his own from the moment he saw her, and that is exactly what he tells everyone. She is his. My heart swells to hear her call him daddy, hes the most wonderful thing that has come into our lives.
Fast forward to February 13 2011. We chose to celebrate our Valentines Day early because we both had to work late the next day. We had talked about getting married, we knew we were going to get married, we just never set a date. At dinner that night we decided that we would get married in May of 2012. Still I told him I didnt want to feel like I was pushing him into anything, if we were going to get married and announce this to our family I wanted him to be sure of it. (he had been through a "forced" engagement in the past and I wasnt going to do that to him) After dinner he asked me to marry him. He poured his heart out to me that night, which if you knew my FI you would know that doesnt happen alot. Hes a very reserved person.
We settled on May 4 2012 and here we are, planning away
Getting married in Pittsburgh because most of my fathers family is from the area, we love the area, and the rest of our families love the area. Im extremely excited!
