TK seems to be even more glitchy than usual this morning so there is a good chance this will get eaten.

How was everyone's weekend?

I have my first fitting tonight which I am kind of dreading. Last time I tried my dress on I wasn't really feeling it. Plus I have to drive out to the county in rush hour traffic.

Hopefully we'll find out in the next few days when the new research assistant will start. We started the hiring process 6 weeks ago and I really need the help so I am hoping it will be next Monday, if not sooner.

Morning. I'm still trying to wake up.

Today is much of the same. H has a follow-up with his doc who did the gum surgery and I'm hoping they can figure out why the health insurance company is all of a sudden saying it wasn't a "medically necessary procedure" when they already approved the damn thing.

Tonight and tomorrow I have to get the house in top shape. Electrician is coming Wedneday morning to finally fix the 57 things wrong with the house, including 2 broken breakers, about 9 outlets that don't work, and the broken bathroom fans. Our house sucks.

Oh, and we watched the movie Soul Surfer last weekend. It was great. Everyone should go watch it.

Morning. We stained our deck this weekend and despite putting on tons of sunscreen, I still got a stupid sunburn. The other highlight of my weekend, was a mini shopping spree at Sephora. I ordered a bunch of Origins products and am so excited for everything to be delivered!

Shay, waiting for delivery is the worst. I just ordered 3 books and I don't want to wait 5 to 8 days.

I decided that starting next month I'm only going to buy indie books for an entire year, with 2 "cheat books" allowed (books by famous authors, like Cassandra Clare or any of my other favorite authors). H said last night he didn't think I could do it, so now I have to just to prove him wrong.

Morning everyone! We had a super busy weekend. We are leaving with H's family for a fishing trip in Canada this coming weekend (we'll be gone for a week), so we were helping pack the boat this past weekend. Then we went to a wedding and then a family reunion of his because his uncle from UT was in town.

This week should be pretty crazy. We are meeting with that guy finally about H's job prospect on Wednesday, so our fingers are crossed! I should also hear this week about my interview from last week. We also have to pack up the rest of everything we need and leave Thursday night.

Andplusalso, gpa has been getting super weak. His feet were starting to swell this weekend, which is one of the signs of kidneys starting to fail (which are usually the first things to shut down). So I'm going to try and head there as much as I can this week before we leave. We knew this time was coming (When docs gave him through the end of August at the most), but this summer has been going by so fast, it's hard to believe it's already here.

When I read Game of Thrones I would space each book out with something light and short in between. It gave me a chance to refresh my brain but kept me from going so long between books that I forgot what was going on. By the last two books he'd killed off and added so many characters that it got hard to keep everyone straight regardless.

By far my favorite part of having a Kindle is the instant gratification of having a book immediately. I read so much more because of that. I was usually too lazy to go to the store and too cheap to pay shipping so I wouldn't get books nearly as often as I do now.

I'm not sure what all has been documented, Chels. All I know is that the office said they checked with the company, discussed everything, and gave us the quote for what we would owe and what the insurance company would cover. And I'm sorry about your grandpa. It's good that you are going to see him this week.

DJ, I'm so excited for the Olympics. I love the gymnastics and swimming. I'm rooting for Lochte since he's from my hometown and went to my high school (year ahead of me).

Morning!

I was up to my ears in invitations this weekend but I finally got them all put together and addressed. I'm waiting to make sure my parents invitation arrives ok before sealing and stamping them all. Hopefully I will be able to send them all out on Wednesday. I found out an old friend of mine is getting married (her mom posted something on facebook). I called her and asked how it all went down and it was a very simple "hey let's get married sort of deal." She's planning a wedding at the end of the year before they head overseas (he's in the airforce). Turns out, they've been legally married for AWHILE and just broke the news to family and close friends this weekend. I'm sooo happy for them I was just incredibly confused when it was all "hey we're getting married, well, we are already married!"

morning everyone!

Had a fun weekend- dreading the start of the week :-/. We got a new car Friday night!!! I am so relieved. I spent the rest of the weekend at my parents which was so fun- we went blueberry picking and spent a lot of time out on the lake they live on.

Sesh- that is so frustrating. I had dealing with insurance. It literally makes me scream. Also- I hadn't seen you siggy pic before. It made me laugh

Morning ladies!

JCB-sorry about your friend and Chels sorry about your grandpa.

This weekend Atticus was in his wild puppy mood on Saturday, so after puppy class we too him to Camp Bow Wow for an overnight. He loved it. We really wanted to get him acclimated as well before we leave on vacay. The cat was having a blast, that was till we brought him home yesterday.

H said he forgot how great it was to have an evening just the 2 of us and not worry about where he was or what he was doing. So now he wants to make this a thing we do once every month or so.

Today is my dentist appt, yuck. Sesh I've had that gum surgery are they do both sides at once, or one at a time?

Morning! I'm suprisingly chipper for it being Monday morning. I slept well last night, so maybe that's why. I did have a nightmare that H left me, but it was brief and I blame it on the fact that I was sleeping on my back (which almost always guarantees effed-up dreams).

This weekend was beyond boring. H and I are on a very strict budget until next month, because our pay entitlements got stopped while we were in transit and we reported in between pay periods, so it's taking a while smooth out. Well, it finally took its toll on my H this weekend. He was so agitated and wanted to do something, but we so cannot afford to waste what little money we have for the next week on stupid shiiit like going to the bar. I know this situation is only temporary, but he's having a hard time dealing with it.

I'm sorry about your friend, jcb, and your Gpa, Chels.

Our Saturday group bicycle ride went through the neighborhood worst hit by the wildfires. It was the saddest sight ever to see block after block of homes burned to the ground. The good part was seeing everything that had been saved - it could have been so much worse.

Yesterday we took Nala swimming in the reservoir, and she played with a brother & sister Lab who are 8 months old. They had so much fun in the water together. It *almost* made me want a puppy, but I know that would be a very bad idea. We'll just meet up for play dates instead.

I was trying to work on dictations last night and my remote desktop stopped connecting. I suspect the power went out at work when it went out here, but either way, I'm still like 60 dictations behind. So I get to go in to work and figure out why I was not able to get my stuff done.

Morning! We had such a crazy weekend. We went to dinner and bowling Friday night, H had a game Saturday (they won 36-6), and then yesterday we went out for dinner and to see The Dark Knight. The movie was awesome, but I couldn't help but think about the CO shooting several times. It just made me sad.

H called me a little bit ago in a panic because a collector called him over a book from last semester. He got ahold of the school and it turns out that he owed $16.00 on a rental book (it got water damage so when he tried to return it they told him he would have to pay and they would charge the account on file- they didn't). No one called or mailed a letter, they only sent it to collections so he is really mad.

I've got a busy day ahead, but it's mostly taking care of more name change stuff.

Chels, you were right. More and more stuff keeps coming up and it seems never ending! I hope you get to spend some time with your Gpa.

I would love to do a TTD, but I cant fit into the damn thing anymore, ugh!

I've been trying to find a dry cleaner here who deals with wedding dresses so I can at least get it cleaned and sell or donate it. Not sure what I'll do.

I did get H to sell one of his motorcycles though, I'm so excited, I just listed it on Criagslist last night. So fingers crossed!

T&Ps to JCB and Chels.

We had a decent weekend, but not long enough. We have so much stuff to do, and I just can't seem to get motivated to do it. The next few weekends are going to be ridiculous, we have a b-day party for two of Michaels nieces, a b-day party for my nephew, a b-day dinner for my dad, a baby shower for our twin nephews, a house warming party for BIL, and a baby shower for a friend. Some day we really need to attempt to get a nursery together for Rambo, as of right now, the best we could do is put her crib up in the middle of the living room. I'm a giant failure at getting baby stuff done.

So far this morning, I've had two freaking pens explode on me (the first one I didn't realize, and wiped my face grrr) then my stapler broke, I couldn't get one of my reports to run, so I was late for a meeting in another building, that I was presenting for, with the fuuuucking ink on my face that no-one mentioned to me. While I was trying to move quickly through the heat and humidity without sweating like a hog, something went wrong with the gates, and I got stuck for a couple of minutes in the turnstyle, then I got stung by a bee, in the neck, two seconds before I walked in the door for my meeting. I walked into the room late, with ink on my face and a red lumpy neck. So yeah, fuuuuck today.

Morning guys.

I am still a little high from my productive day yesterday. Ben and I cleaned the house and I did... one, two, three, four, I think five loads of laundry. That's a lot for me, because I usually try to do a random load here and there so it doesn't pile up. Well, pile up it did. Piled up all over the damn second floor of our townhouse. In face there are still a bunch of clothes that I hung over the landing because they were clothes I didn't want to throw into the dryer, so I still have a little work tonight, but yeah. Felt good to get piles of clothes cleaned and put away. I really hate laundry.

This week sucks. It should be a fun week because my bff's bridal shower is on Saturday, but her MOH gave me all this crap to do that I have to get done. She actually gave it to me maybe a week or more ago but I just haven't done any of it yet. I should be able to get it all done but I am hoping I can get the flowers in time... eeeeek. Ugh. I might be more up to doing this crap if I wasn't so broke right now and if she just wasn't up my ass every other day about this damn shower. And the bach party. And gifts. And other weddingshit.

I suck at being a friend, lol.

So sorry about your friend, jcb and your grandpa chels. My grandpa has been gone two years already. So weird.
