What are some good bakeries in the area for wedding on a budget

We live in Denton.  Haven't decided on a baker yet for our wedding cake and groomscake need to find one that can work with our  budget.

Have you looked at the vendor sticky? We're using the Candy Haven that is actually in Denton. Their cakes are yummy! And you get your groom's cake for free.

Tabitha Ballard--Buttercream is $1.50 a slice. Cheapest we found anywhere. Delivery was cheap, the cake was absolutely delicious, and we got to choose a different flavor for every tier.

She is an awesome choice unless you want something with elaborate details...in which case you need to be prepared to pay big bucks anyway

I believe her email is tabithaballard@gmail.com

I agree with Marissa about tabitha ballard. She is still new enough that her prices are very cheap...we almost went with her but decided to use Panini Bakery because they are less than two mins from our venue and their cake is HEAVENLY (averages about $3.50 a slice)

Check out Macy Lambert with Cozy Cakery. They do cakes out of their house, and they will come to you, so it doesn't matter where you are.

They can do very elaborate cakes if you want, and they are VERY affordable. PM me for price details.

If you want to look at pictures of our cakes, you can look them up on facebook. The Cozy Cakery. I don't want to tell you what the album is titled because it has our last name, but if you're interested, PM me. They're amazing, and we got tons of compliments on our cakes for their designs and taste!

We used Colleens Cakes and were married in Denton.  It is $3 something a slice, you can have a different flavor for each tier with no extra charge and there was no delivery and set up fee.

There is also Davis Bakery off of Locust or Elm.  I have no idea how much they charge.

We're using Colleen's Cakes - I forget how much we're getting, but I want to say it's like 120 slices - three tiers, a "best boy" cake, and chocolate covered strawberries for under $500.

I definitely agree with Colleen's Cakes! All of her stuff is amazing! $3.50 per slice and we can add whatever decorations we want to the cake at no charge. and there's no delivery fee (which is awesome since she's in Keller and we're in Plano)
