Hello All
Question about providing Hotel information with invites: In some wedding invites, such as for destination weddings, I've have seen simple hotel information like "The bride and groom are staying at HOTEL NAME" and then give the phone number.
I have reserved a block of rooms for my guests and negotiated a rate. What is the best way to convey this information to my guests? I basically need to tell them what to reference when they call the Hotel. Do I have to do a separate mailing or is there a way to properly add that into the invitation? I would prefer not to spend extra money on postage for a separate mailer but I also want to be proper with the invites. I thought about emailing but some of the guests aren't technically savy and I don't have email addresses for others. Any suggestions???
Re: Hotel Info on Invites
The actual invitation should only have the ceremony info on it. You can have separate inserts in your invitation envelope for hotel information, maps, directions to the reception, etc. DOn't include registry info, though, as that is rude and gift grabby. You could also have an insert with your wedding website on it so your guests can reference that information online if they'd like to,
The hotel one could be worded:
For your convenience, we have negotiated a reduced rate of $A per night at X hotel, located at Y. To reserve a room at this rate, Call/email/reserve online, whatever is applicable.
