I know I have posted this before but I am really looking for ideas for our engagement pictures. We really don't have anywhere special to us and I am at a loss of where to go! I was hoping to do them somewhere with like a field or an old barn but at this point anywhere would be fine. I'm not really sure how I am going to find a place other than driving around the state so I'd really appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

    What part of the state are you in so we can try to help? Also ask your photographer if they have ideas.

    Go to one of the Vineyards in the fall...or Lyman Orchards...you could probably do the Orchard and the winery (Gouvenia - can't remember spelling) in Wallingford in the fall since they are both within 10 minutes from each other.

    I am considering Lyman Orchards - I saw pictures from there that were really cute!

    I'm from Fairfield County but am willing to travel really anywhere - my photographer said anywhere in CT.

    There are lots of beautiful places- Olde Mistick Village/Downtown Mystic area are great in the fall, if you're looking for fall themed pictures definately an orchard of some sorts, or a pumpkin patch, that would be fun!

    If you want a park there is also Wickham Park in Manchester and also Elizabeth Park in West Hart.  Here's some pics... they have tons of gardens and woods and picnic areas...

    we went to Harkness Park for ours and loved it!! My 2nd choice was Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven.

    I just had mine done on monday and we went to wadsworth falls in middlefield/Middletown. They have a little beachy area then also the falls area (not much there besides the waterfall but since we went the day after irene I'm sure we will have Some great pics). We also went to Wesleyans campus and main street Middletown (it was named the most romantic main st I think in the country a few months ago). If you choose Lyman orchards these places are right near there. There's also gillettes castle in east haddam and some good picture spots on the river near there.
