Best bridesmaid dress style for girls with big boobs

Most of the girls in my bridal party have big boobs (some huge lol) and I am not sure which style for the top would hide them the best.  I was thinking that a simple plain strapless style would be best, but I have heard that a halter would work, as well.  Any thoughts??

I have to say that I am large chested and personally I HATE strapless dresses.  Strapless bras always slip and I end up doing the boob jump (Hauling the bra and dress up while jumping ;) ) all night long.  I have other large chested friends who feel the same way.  I think ILove MilkDuds idea of letting them choose their dress style is fantastic.

One of my bridesmaids is very large-chested, and my bridesmaid dresses are sweetheart necklines, but with straps. She said it felt very comfortable. My other bridesmaids are much more flat chested, and the dress looked great on all of them. The link below shows the dresses.

While the idea of having everyone choose their own style, it's not for everyone. A little digging around and you can surely find a style that suits all of your bridesmaids :)

hate wearing strapless dresses... let them choose a style they like form a company with coordinating fabrics and give everybody a chance to look as good as possible.

2 of my BM are the same way (& 1 is going to be 8 mo. preggers at the wedding!). I just picked a line from Jcrew & a color and let them pick their own style. The wedding specialists know a lot about the dress styles and are able to suggest which ones work (& don't) for different chest sizes & body types.

I had all my BMs pick out a different dress from the Amsale chiffon collection - 3 of them are quite chesty, and 2 of them picked some sort of halter and the 3rd picked out something with straps/little cap sleeves (she can wear a regular bra with it).

I agree, I'd ask them what they like.  And having them each pick out their own dress from a collection of similar dresses is ideal IMO - we wouldn't have found a dress any other way!

My girls chose this dress in black: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Short-Cotton-Dress-with-Y-Neck-and-Skirt-Pleating-83690_Bridal-Party-Bridesmaids-Shop-By-Color

It looks nice on the larger-chested girls, but also on the small-chested girls, so everyone walked away happy.

I think the best thing to do is just to go shopping with as many of them as can reasonably make the trip and let them try things on to see what they're comfortable with.  The style I ended up choosing did absolutely nothing for any of us online (no one even marked it as a "favorite") but it turned out to be really, really flattering on everyone.

My MOH is very very large chested and we had strapless gowns. She had to have the dress shortened, and the seamstress made straps from the extra fabric. She wore the gown strapless for the ceremony and put on the straps at the reception. It's great that you want everyone to feel comfortable. Good luck!

[QUOTE]Ask your WP members what dress style they feel most comfortable in. If you are OK with everyone wearing a different dress, just specify a color/length/designer and let them get a style they love.  If you want them all in the same dress, you could go the majority rules way once the girls tell you their preference.

    This.

A couple of my girls were large chested. They all chose to wear strapless, but the style we chose also came with attachable straps. For pictures and ceremony they went strapless, then put on the straps at the reception so they could dance comfortably.

I'm large chessted and I don't mind strapless if they're well fitting and in a material with a lot of structure.  I hate halters; my breasts weigh about 20 pounds and it pulls on the halter straps, which hurts my neck.  The best for me is something with a tank strap or sleeveless and a vneck.

Agreed. I love this dress. My bridesmaids are going with something similar from Henkaa (<a href="http://www.henkaa.com)," rel="nofollow">www.henkaa.com),</a> so each BM can tie it in a way that is comfortable for her and provides enough coverage and support. As the PP have said, I think it would good to ask what would make them feel most comfortable. I don't know any busty woman, including myself, that like halter tops! Heavy boobs, neck strain...it's just too much lol. I also considered a style similar to the first one in the line up seen here in teal: <a href="http://blog.myweddingreceptionideas.com/2010/01/colorful-retro-inspired-bridesmaid.html" rel="nofollow">http://blog.myweddingreceptionideas.com/2010/01/colorful-retro-inspired-bridesmaid.html</a>

    Good luck finding something!
