The Knot Post Secret

A knottie over on the Etiquette board started this a week or so ago, and it hasn't gotten great response; it's one of my new addictions! Clearly, it's a spin off of the original Post Secret--which is a collection of anonymous secrets sent in on post-cards.

    I guess I don't get it? All I see are some kind of depressing quotes from people over internet pictures.

    It's an avenue for Knotties to share secrets they have without attaching their name to it, or being judged.

    I suppose the point is for it to be slightly therapeutic for the secret-teller; it give them the opportunity to get things off their chest.

    Addictive, but I'm not sure in a good way.  I can empathize with some of the comments on there, but man oh man, it just makes me depressed to read them.

    Some of the secrets are totally depressing---but, some of them I can definitely relate to.

    The truly sad part is, in my opinion anyways, that I have a feeling that a lot of people we are around on a daily basis are feeling that way or have felt that way---but just never say anything. Make me want to start giving hugs to strangers.

    (and, I have no idea if the suicide on the bump it real or not....but wow.)

    I have an idea of what off boards are, but...anyone actally know?   I am learning so much about the knot because of KPS.

    And I agree with the giving out hugs feeling!

    Yep---and, I should know, as I started this whole off-board questioning/speculation a few weeks ago; whoops!!

    Off-boards are different forums where knotties go--presumably to talk about the knot in a more secret location.

When I say nasty I mean if you ask them a question you will get a 100% real answer.  They tend to have very strong views over there, like if you have a dollar dance, cash bar or a HM registry you are the scum of the earth and how "dare" you do that to your guests. </div><div>
