I want my groom and groomsmen in khaki pants and a white collared shirt...any suggestions.. Its going to be outdoors, evening, tx and hot. should i just stick to a suit?

Maybe your groom can wear a vest and tie, no jacket? Or, if you want him in a suit the compromise may be a short sleeved shirt under his jacket (of course then he wouldn't be able to take off the jacket). Give your groom some options, he'll be happier that way.

we are doing the same thing--either nice khakis and a white button up short sleeved shirt OR a khaki colored casual "suit" but not a full suit with a vest and tie, just the jacket, white shirt, and the pants. for example: http://www.pauljohnsonphoto.com/blog/images2/vega4.jpg
