Approx. time for hair and make-up?

Hi.  I'm starting to try to figure out who in the WP might want their hair and/or make-up done (absolutely no requirement).  I'm starting to worry that if there are four other girls besides me and the pictures are at 2:45ish, that there won't be enough time for one hair artist to do all four girls plus me.  How much time is usually allotted for BMs to get their hair done as well as time?  If all four want their hair done - should I see if they can get a second person to help out, or is there really enough time for one person to do everyone/

Do you have a separate makeup artist?  If so, I think that your hair stylist should be able to do all 5 people.  I have 7 people getting their hair done (only 1 stylist coming) and my photographer is coming to my house around 12:30-1 for pictures.  My hair stylist just plans on getting to my house early that morning.

I think you would be fine with 1 person.  If your worried about it why don't you call the person that is doing your hair and ask their opinion.  They should be able to judge if they need a second person to come.

Thanks.  I think when I know how many want their hair done, I will make sure that there's enough time or if a seocnd person is needed.  I feel like the closer it gets to the wedding the more I start stressing about all the little stuff!

I had 2 hair people, but 8 people getting hair done. Each did 4 and were done super early, so I think depending on your start time you should be fine with one. The stylist would be the best person to judge on this. Also, allow for 30 minutes per person, 45-1 hour for you. That would be a total of 3 hours for 5 people.

I would check with the people doing the work but most want 40min for make-up (per person) and an hour for hair (sometimes more depending on style)

The people we used wanted a half an hour per bridesmaid per service (meaning, if a girl was getting both hair and makeup done, a half an hour for hair and a half an hour for makeup).

For me, she wanted 1.5 hours - 2 hours for both services.  It took way less than that, but that was to deal with anything that ran late, having to redo things if I didn't absolutely love it, etc.
