plus size dress shops

Does anyone know of plus size dress shops near Cleveland Ohio besides David's bridal. I am bringing my sisters are coming to try dresses on for me but I want to experience trying on my own wedding dress! Thank you for your help Jess

I don't know any specific to there, but if you have an Alfred Angelo store near you I highly highly recommend going there as well as David's. They have a wonderful selection of plus sized gowns, and I was actually able to try on more in my size at the AA I went to than at the David's.

I dont' know if the drive is worth it for you, but there is a dress shop just outside Detroit in Saint Claire Shores called "Bombshell Bridal Boutique" and it caters to ONLY plus size (size 14-36).

Thet women who run the shop are amazing and I've had a great experience with the shop.

Another vote for Alfred Angelo. They have a great plus size selection. Try finding a signature store near you... it will be worth the drive.

PS. There are Alfred Angelo stores in Boardman, Miamisburg and Dublin, OH. Go on to the AA website, find some plus size styles you like, and call the salons closest to you to see if they have one close to your size in stock.

I just called ahead and said "I am a street size 16...   can you tell me how many styles you will have IN MY SIZE to try on".   Keep in mind, you will be about 1-2 sizes bigger in a wedding gown. If you are a 20, you will probably be a 22-24 wedding dress.

There are 45 stores in Ohio that carry Alfred Angelo dresses, but not all of them will have their plus size line.

Ok, I google maped it and its over 4 hours away from Cleveland OH (a drive, I fully admit), but I got my dress from Miss Pamela's in Rochester, IN. She is a great plus-size only bridal salon with tons of dresses to try on and amazing staff. She helped me find my dream dress and I thought I would have to settle for a dress due to being plus size. Not the case, I actually had 3 I was torn between!

It would be more of a last resort for you, due to the distance, but if you can't find anything you're crazy about locally, I would 110% recommend making the trip!
