Sterling Hotel/Tuli Catering or Mulvaney's?

Hi All,

Trying to narrow down my venue options a bit and looking for advice. (Planning a Sacramento wedding from out of town).

Has anyone had or attended a wedding at the Sterling Hotel or Next Door at Mulvaney's? We're looking at a small (50-75 guests) May 2013 wedding and will be utilizing the outdoor spaces at whichever venue we choose.

Any rants, raves, tips, or suggestions about either of these (food, service, atmosphere, staff, etc) would be much appreciated.

    I have been to both.  Sterling Hotel is charming yet rooms are on small side.  Mulvanys was nice.  The wedding I went to had the outside booked as a childrens area with babysitters.  It was cool.
