Venue Help

My FI and I recently cut our guest list down to about 85 people and are now lost as to where to look for venues.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I am open to Southshore or Northsore and would need something that has a ceremony site as well.  Any and all help is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

House of Broel has a beautiful gazebo for ceremonies and the owner is a minister. Her prices are fantastic. 85 people will run about 5k all in with open bar, cake from Swiss or Haydels AND the dj all included. Plus its right on St Charles ave so very convenient for guests to go into the qaurter, close to hotels, etc.

The Natchez steamboat can also accommodate a wedding of this size and is budget friendly.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.

We are doing Smilie's which has the most competitive prices that I found. If you can pay it in full upon booking, you save 10% - which is significant.  By having our ceremony and reception at Smilie's, we were able to keep the guest list and not cut anyone off.

I've heard some slightly mixed things about the Natchez--kind of like buyer-beware--but I think that would be a great idea for a wedding that size.  Not sure how cost friendly it would be, though.  Definitely a unique, awesome experience you guys and your guests wouldn't forget!

Audubon Club House is great for small receptions and they have mutiple ceremony locations to choose from.  Especially nice if you are looking for an outdoor ceremony.

Parkview Terrace in City Park is good for weddings of 150 and less. They are very reasonably prices, and the photo opportunities are endless.

We're having our ceremony and reception at the Abita Quail Farm in Abita Springs. We have about 130 guests and that is costing us around 5500$ with tons of food open premium bar ceremony cost etc. We love the peacocks and the outdoor space for pictures.
