Wedding Jewelry

Hello!  I've been a little MIA lately, busy with work and wedding stuff!  The invites are out, and I'm working on bridesmaids gifts now - plus jewelry shopping for myself.  One of the gifts for the bridesmaids is going to be jewelry to wear in the wedding - but I'm stumped on what I want them to wear!  The dresses are:

I've been looking all over, all over etsy.com, all the stores I can think of.  I don't want to spend a fortune, but I want the jewelry to be nice, not cheesy (lol).

Then comes my jewelry = Do I want flashy or understated?  Any ideas?  What kind of jewelry are you using?

Thanks!

I wore very large earrings and no necklace with my dress. For my bridesmaids, II bought really cute earrings at Belk on sale for $12each. They had tons of styles but you have to watch for them to go on sale otherwise they are $20-$30ea.

I'm not very picky about this kind of stuff, but I think no necklaces are the way to go and you can never go wrong with diamond studs - CZ obviously!

For my wedding dress, I wore no necklace and big earrings!

Can you tell us the colors of the BM dresses this well help decided if you should do pearls or stones?

Also is gown very formal or casual...all of these details will help with selection.

In the meantime I cam across and awesome jewelery store in the Int'l Mall in Tampa.  They are very cheap and have TONS of different things.  I was surprised to see this because there is nothing cheap in this mall:)

With the bridemaids gifts I got SUPER lucky after much internet surfing I happened to be at the mall and thought, "Why not?"  and checked MACY'S.  My BMs dresses are black with a white ribbon so initially I was looking for pearls (fakies) or something, but then I saw these CZ and onyx drop earring and they were PERFECT!  Then I saw the price.  They were initially $60/pair for the earrings and the matching necklace another $60.  Then the sales lady told me they were on sale for 50% off plus if I opened a MACY's charge account I could get another 15%.  I'm not one for a lot of credit cards, but when you added it up it made a nice dent for my 5 BM gifts.  Also they had only 2 of each at that store, but she made a few calls and arranged to have the other 3 sets sent directly to my house (there was a small S&H fee) so I could charge it all in one lump and get the discount.  I still have these cool totes I picked up from Old Navy awhile back that I'm gonna fill with flip-flops, disposable camera & a beach towel for my BMs.  Anyone know where to get a good deal on a beach towel?  =o)

The dresses are the same blue that is in the picture (robins egg blue).  It's a beach wedding at Grand Plaza, so not really formal, just fun!  I'll check out Macy's, I didn't even think to check there!
Heidilin13 - Kohls usually has sales on beach towels.  I have to get some for the bridesmaids, and I'll go over Saturday and let you know.

Thanks for everyone's help!  This wedding stuff is making me CRAZY!!  78 days :)

I think pearls are the best look for a light blue as well as for the beach. If you get a chance to go by the store that I mentioned I think you will find TONS of options because they had lots of pearl pieces.

The store is located on the 1st level...left of the  main elevators.

I would keep an eye out at your favorite clothing stores.  For instance, I was in Kohl's the other day & they had a big clearance on jewlery.  I was able to get a great necklace for $3!

There's a new store in Int'l Mall called Fashionista that sells accessories. They have everything from jewelry with rhinestones, pearls, natural beads/stones, to pashmina wraps & cute cocktail purses.. All very reasonibly priced.  Some necklaces even come with matching earrings.    Good Luck!
