I am traveling this weekend to sunny south mississippi to attend my mother's retirement party. It will be held outdoors in the evening - so think grass, tent, HUMID, hot.
I had a black knit dress that I was trying to dress down, but it really only works with heels or with wedges (but my only wedges are brown).
I've recently learned that other people are planning to wear white capri pants and nice-ish shirts. So, pretty casual.
I have NOTHING that fits the bill perfectly. Jeans seem *too* casual. My only pants are dressier work pants. I don't own any capris because I hate my legs. (ditto for most skirts - this dress really is about it).
I will have approximately 30-45 minutes to shop tomorrow night, and that's it. Online shopping is out because of the shipping time.
Any ideas? I'm actually considering buying capris for this and hoping I can wear them again somewhere. I have one halter maxi dress that *might* work, but it was pre-baby and probably doesn't fit all that well anymore.
