OMG (VENT)

Ok...so although it's for a good reason, we just had a groomsman send a FACEBOOK message to back out of the wedding. Seriously? You couldn't call? Or given us a bigger heades up than 1.5 months?? He has been applying to PHD school or something and has been invited back for a second interview on our wedding day. While that is a great, great opportunity for him, why would he accept an invitation to be in a wedding if he was applying to a doctorate program and knew there would be multiple interviews? Now our sides are uneven. My FI is not going to be happy about this, and I'm pissed because of how close it is to the wedding. Now, even if we asked someone else it would like we are just trying to "fill" a spot. I'm so annoyed. Like I said, great for him but seriously.... 45 days before the wedding?

Maybe i'm just weird but I always think the sides look uneven because usually the ushers are in the pictures too.... That sucks that he isn't going to be able to be a part of your day but at least he has good reason. Would have been better if he would have called your FI and told him rather than a FB message........

That sucks how he told you, but I wouldn't worry about the sides being uneven... in the grand scheme of things that REALLY doesn't matter.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's such a little thing that it won't matter to you at all on the day, especially given your large wedding party. That really is crappy of him to do, though, I would be really angry that he just sent a FB message. At least it seems like he felt really bad about it, otherwise he would've come to you in person or on the phone.

I'm sorry! That sucks. I have uneven sides now too because one of our gm went to basic training so yeah. really sucks. I feel your pain.

it totally sucks that he didn't think it through...but then again, no one really knows whats going to happen a week from now. at least you know he didn't do it on purpose. if its any consolation. ;/

but the fact that he didn't even pick up the phone to tell you this in person is kind of sad.
