Eivans & George Street Photo

I'm considering signing with Eivans or George Street Photography. Does anyone have experience with either of these studios? I know knotties reccommend not going with studios, but there is a large price difference. I'm open to suggestions on lower cost but high quality photographers.  Thanks!

    We booked George Street for our wedding next Friday. I believe their photogs are independent contractors, not necessarily employees of the studio.

    We booked with GS over a year ago b/c their pricing fit within our budget. We had our e-pics and they turned out great.

    Never heard of eivans. We are using GS out of their Lisle location. We met Sarah who was really nice and I think they have good prices. Our package comes with engagement photo session at the Chicago Studio, but it costs more to have it somewhere else, so that kinda sucks b/c I wanted to do an engagement photo session outside like a forest preserve or something, but it's not a really big deal. We got to pick our own photographer after she showed us a few portfolios...I'm really excited...

    I have not heard of the first one, and the second one kept calling us and we felt that they nickel and dimed us. They did not want to guarantee us a photographer and we wanted to meet who we would be working with. Maybe they have changed since then.

    We booked george street for our wedding on july 24th.  They are nice and there was no pressure to sign right then and there....

    I used George Street for my September 09 wedding and cannot say enough good things about them. Great service, beautiful pictures and our album came back perfect. It's also been so nice to have all of our digital negatives to do with what we please.
