NWR- Facial Cleanser recommendations??

Hey ladies,

I'm wondering if anyone has any good recommendations on a good over the counter facial cleanser.  I feel like I bounce back and forth between a few, and while they seem to work somewhat, none seem to 100% do the trick.  Someone recommended St. Ives Green Tea Cleanser but I haven tried it yet.  TIA

I was using the St.Ives facial scrub (and sometimes the target brand) and never had any breakouts.I would get the random zit every few months, but that was it.

I just started using Oil of Olay's Age Regenerist (sp) line, and I love it! The cleanser doesn't dry my face out, nor does it feel like I'm peeling off my skin while using it.

I love the Alba line of products. I like the pineapple-enzyme cleanser and the mositurizer.  I purchase from Whole Foods or Target because they have the best price on it, but CVS sells it for a slightly higer price.

What type of skin do you have?

I swear by Dermalogica products.  They're a bit pricey but ever since I've switched to using their full line of products my face has never looked better.  I have dry skin and the products I use from their line keep my face moisturized without looking greasy.  The products are sold at salons and spas and what I did was I went to a salon/spa and got samples and then based on what I liked I bought the products online since it's much cheaper.

I use origins products, sold in Macys.

They work great for me and I have sensitive skin but they have stuff for all skin types.

Thanks for the responses ladies, this has been great.

I'd consider my skin sensitive and it also has a tendency to get kinda oily.

For the ladies that use Origins, do you use both a cleanser and moisturizer from that line?

I just got into Origins! My cousin has used it for years and has beautiful skin. My drug store Neutrogena has let me down too many times so I'm finally ready to give in to Origins. I've been using the Checks and Balance cleanser and Brighter by Nature moisturizer. I have combination oily and dry skin.

Anyone know any coupon codes or anything for it? Wish they had a black friday sale!

I currently use just the cleanser and moisturizer.  I don't really wear makeup so the cleanser works fine for me.  I need to get a toner picked out.

I know on your birthday they send you a coupon but I haven't seen it on sale ever same with MAC products. Boo.

I'm the odd ball here, because I've never even heard of origins until today.  I have very oily & sensitive skin. St. Ives dried my skin so bad it cracked even with using a moisturizer. I'm now using Abmi products and love it. The fade cream is wonderful all the damage I did in my teen years popping zits and barely noticeable now and the moisturizer does leave a shine even in hot weather.

I use pure oatmeal soap for my cleanser.  For my moisturizer I use L'Oreal SPF 15 Oil Free Moisturizer.  I, too, have sensitive and oily skin.  Oatmeal soap works fantastic for me.  :)

I'm using Ambi foaming cleanser. I bounced around with products after all the local stores stopped carrying Ambi for awhile. (I have no idea why--but I was on a constant search for it) Everything else broke me out, dried me up, burned me out, you name it my skin was rough (literally) for a while. Tongue out Ambi has once again returned and my skin is back to normal. I use the Equate version of Neutrogina sensitive skin moisturizer for my facial moisturizer. I used the Neutrogina brand but find that the Equate version works better and is about 10 bucks cheaper. Go figure!Smile

*UPDATE* so I went to Macys today and bought some stuff from the Origins line.  She gave me a mini facial to see what would be best for my skin which was kinda nice.  I ended up with cleanser, toner, moisturizer and a mask so hopefully its a hit.  Thanks again ladies.
