MG's marriage license?

On your wedding day when you sign the marriage license does your witness sign the license also? and is it the same witness who came for the application?
TIA

My witnesses actually signed it at the rehearsal.  When we gave it to the priest, DH and I had already signed it.  The priest signed and dated it on our wedding day.  And to answer your second question, my mom was the witness when we applied but my MOH signed on the actual certificate

What DMLJ said.  The bride and groom don't sign the license at the wedding (we maybe did when we picked it up, but I don't remember) -- the witness (usually MOH and BM) do and in our case too that was at the rehearsal.  We didn't even see it happen because we were off doing other things!

Also, It doesn't have to be the same witness as when you applied for it.  We didn't have anyone to come with us so we had someone that worked in the office be our witness, but for the License we had our MOH and BM sign it.
