The Astor Hotel

Has anyone been to a wedding there? Or has anyone booked them as their venue? If so how was the experience?

    I didn't book them, but my fiance and I went to look at their space. We really liked it, it had a nice old world feel and a lot of space to work with. They also have a roof top porch that looks over the art museum and lake that would be great for pictures.

    We didn't end up going with them because of the guest parking charges, it kind of smelled like an old folks home the day we were there and we found a better deal at a different place (although it is not downtown).

    It's definitely worth taking a look at though.

    Never been to a wedding there or anything.  However, we had my uncle and cousin and my grandparents visiting from California a few years ago and they stayed 1 night there before switching to a different hotel.  The rooms there apparently are just awful.
