I don't envy you the work, but at least the summer classes go quickly. What type of nursing?

I teach high school English--American lit and film studies--during the year and my summer enrichment is SAT/test prep classes for 6-8 grade kids.  Most of my time is spent administering practice tests, so it's not too difficult.  I try to plan some fun activities for them to break it up (and for my own sanity!).
  • I actually read that thread this afternoon.  And, holy fvck.  That girl has problems.

Just finished dinner and now we're waiting for True Blood to come on.

I almost wonder how much of what she says is true.  She always has a personal "one-upping" story to anything.  Maybe I'm delusional, but no one can be that fvcked up in so many different areas, right?

  • Evening!

I'm watching Holmes on Homes and listening to the thunder.  It's been storming up good here.  Our power had flickered off three times already but I'm hoping those shenanigans are done for the evening..True Blood comes on in 40 minutes!

And now I'm off to see what all the drama with Steffi is all about.  Why do I always miss the good stuff?

I hear you on the timing.  I took 3 classes each summer so that I would only have one during the fall when we got married. It was ridiculous, but it is what it is.

Trauma nursing sounds intense, but it seems like it would be right up your alley. Good for you! It definitely takes a specific type of person to be able to deal with that.

Thanks, Loopy :) Are you going to find out what you're having?
  • Yay Astar!  I agree - your friends should come before parental co-workers.
  • So, for anyone who rents a house, I have a question. If a random animal keeps coming into your yard and harasses your pets, is there any reason why you would not call the authorities if your attempts at speaking to the owners didn't work out? Your landlord can't tell you to not report it, right?

</div><div>No and No...but the landlord could find shiiit to evict you over, I guess.  If an animal kept harrassing my pet or my kids, or what ever, I'd ty to deal with the owners then failing that I'd call A/C.  Screw the landlord.  The only time I'd ever harm another animal is if it were actually attacking me or mine.  All bets are off then.  But just being a dog and chasing a horse?
