Re: Four Weddings on TLC

  • I would not have enjoyed that horse racing-themed wedding. I liked the style, and the food looked good - but I don't gamble either and would have been super bored.

  • I'm loving this show.  It's hilarious seeing what other people say about the weddings.
  • These girls would have torn apart my CPs! Haha!

  • I'm surprised there was no guest seating at the horse race wedding.  And I would have been super bummed about not being able to hear anything that was going on.  I like the idea of having a wedding at the horseraces though - original and definitely not over-done.

  • I'm watching-- it's quite entertaining. I'm interested to see how the  $70,000 is spent on the Greek wedding.

Ahh, brilliant.  I'm still a newb when it comes to some of the abbreviations.  Thanks Navy.

EDIT: Thanks Navy, Kim, and gg. :)
  • Hey, that Greek Orthydox church is right down the street from me in Queens!  I've had a chance to go in during a festival day, it is even more beautiful in person, as you might imagine.

  • I'm loving the show, mostly for what the girls say about each others' weddings.
  • I can't handle the lamb.  Please tell me I hallucinated that.
  • Do you think tha in the end, more money = more votes?  I feel like because she spent 70k on a wedding, she doesn't need a free honeymoon.

No kidding, why do any of these women need a free honeymoon?  I want a comparision of four budget weddings- see how creative people can get.

    Bwahaha!

I agree. I guess its more about just winning in general, than the actual prize.. Idk, just my guess.

  • Yeah, I totally agree.  I think that it's kind of ridiculous that they're giving away free honeymoons to these ladies.  I said the 70k one, but even the 25k doesn't really make sense.  Give it to someone who actually couldn't afford it on their own.
  • Um, WHAT was that woman wearing!? A red corset-like top w/ a tight black skirt to a formal wedding?

Yep.  And a belt.  Nothing screams "wedding" like a corset with a belt.
  • She was also texting in a church during a wedding.  It is possible she is not quite as classy as she considers herself.

  • I think it is more about winning than the free honeymoon.  And the categories are kind of related to the money - food, venue, dress, so a more expensive wedding may win.  If it was based on creativity, it would probably less predictable.
  • I think it's an excuse just to show off the weddings, esp the $70k one. She doesn't need a free HM!

  • Lol, you clearly haven't seen Say Yes to the Dress.  Nothing says wedding like corset these days.
  • I find it interesting that the anti-wedding bride's shindig cost $45k... seems like a lot to spend on an "anti-wedding."

Haha, what was I thinking?!?  Even better is the corset that's see-through.
  • I'll have to keep an eye out for reruns.

I also think she has a stick up her ass. She speaks as if she does.

  • This doesn't really seem anti-wedding to me.
