Well you know about me so I'm not new news. You asked when I graduated....I'm afraid I have a few (and a few more) years on you ladies.

I was an Alpha Gam at Western from 1996-1999. And then I worked as a Leadership Consultant from 1999-2000. I've been volunteering throughout Michigan up until a couple of years ago - most recently as the Operations Advisor at Eastern. I just decided a couple of years ago that I needed a little break – I’m sure I’ll come back at some point – but I have some other things going on for now.

FutureMrsJeffords, there are lots of opportunities to get involved if you’re interested again – there are LOTS of alum clubs in the Detroit area, a couple of Junior Circles and of course collegiate chapters always need advisors! IRD is April 10^th if you’re interested!What fun and small world!

i have been thinking of doing advisor... ill probly try and do something of the like after the wedding as i wont be working just going to school full time again after that... i want to attend ird as well! is it going to be close? i know that last year or the year before it was in frankenmuth.... kristinandbill are you still at eastern? there are still some girls there that pledged right after me and i think there might still be one that pledged with me!

My best friend/bridesmaid is an AGD at Alma College. They are the nicest girls I've ever met!

Oh, how fun!! I haven't been back in years so I probably wouldn't know her. :( But I'm glad you like them...all of the sisters when I was in college were super sweet as well.

I'm not sure where IRD is. I'm getting married that day

and didn't save the invitation. If I remember correctly though, Alma is co-sponsoring it. If you're interested I can track down the registration info.

too funny - I'm not Alpha Gam but I went to their formal recruitment parties and pref ceremony when I went thru rush in 1994 at wayne state. I ended up pledging and initiating into AEPhi.

i'm not an alpha gam (i'm a sigma kappa), but i highly rec becoming an advisor, if you have the time and opportunity. it's been a really rewarding experience for me.

I was in the group my junior and senior years... 2005-2007. But was a little older then the average girl. I'm gonna be 30 this year!!

Is anyone else going to IRD? I would totally go if I have someone to go with.

Also, please forgive my ignorance, but are candlelight ceremonies for pinnings, promise rings, engagments, and weddings sorority-wide or was it just my chapter? I loved when we had a candlelight ceremony...I'm just a big ol' romantic!

We did the candlelight ceremonies as well

I love them too, we used to get so excited! I would get so excited when I would get the message to prepare it for after meeting
