Venue dress code help!

Hi, the venue that I chose for my ceremony and reception has a strict dress code, more of what is not allowed than what is ex. sandals are okay but flip flops are not allowed. What is the proper way of letting my guest know?

    ditto Lia; if the venue's actually going to turn people away in flip flops that information needs to be included with the invitation.

    ditto the other ladies.

    Also, at least in my experience, every family has a big mouth able to spread news to all.  In my family it's my Aunt G.   DH's family is MIL.  They both love to pass on information to people and neither one have FB or anything.  I swear they spend all day gathering information and passing it along.   Telling those people verbalyl about the policy is a good way to get the word out also.






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
