Wedding Dress Shopping! Referrals?

So, I know there are several dress shops in town. I'm looking for more of a boutique experience...so I'm probably not interested in David's or Wendy's. Haven't been anywhere else and don't know where to go. I've seen ads for Elegant Bride, Big Rock, Girls in White Dresses and a few others.

Any recommendations? My budget is $3,000. I want a great "experience"..as well as a gorgeous dress! I LOVE Claire Pettibone designs...but no one in Columbus carries her :-(

    I enjoyed my visit to Trumpington in Westerville. That and Wendys are the only places I went to here (I bought my dress in Maryland).

    I bought my dress at Alan Ray Bridal. But Elegant Bride in Dublin came in a close second with a dress there that I really liked.

    I did not care for most of the dresses at DB (even though we did BM's dresses there) and the service at Wendy's Bridal was horrible. I will never step foot in that place again for anything. However, I have heard the one in Cincy is much better.

    Check out Bella Lacio in Westerville, Trumpington in Westerville, BigRock (that's where I got mine!), La June Marie in Worthington, and Universe Brides.

    I looked at Girls in White dresses... not worth it. Nothing but tons of heavy silky satin dresses... although I do remember them having a few lacey dresses in style of Claire Pettibone. I just blocked that store from memory.

    I second Bella Laccio. Your budget is about what mine was. I also loved some at La Jeune Mariee, but they weren't really under the 3 mark. I have also heard great things about Trumpington and BigRock. Jen at Bella Laccio is really sweet and she really worked with my price range.

    I went to Big Rock and loved my experience there. I didn't end up getting my dress there, but they were super nice and had some really great accessories, too.

    I had a wonderful experience at Elegant Bride in Dublin!! Wafa is amazing! We looked for BM's dresses at Gabrielle's European Bridal in Westerville and had a lovely time there too!

    Big Rock is wonderful! They provided amazing service from beginning to end. They opened early the day before my wedding so they had time to steam my dress :)
    I also visited La Jeune Mariee, which is great, too. Not too impressed with GIWD. Good luck!

    try alfred angelo in dublin. amazing service.beautiful dresses for great prices. i worked with jessi and she was the sweetest girl ive ever met. very accomadating.but everyone there was very helpfull. you can get online and look at some of thier designs at http://www.alfredangelo.com/
