Finally starting to feel real

Not sure if this feeling makes sense to any of you, but with so many things off the check list and so many big things coming up, it finally seems like things are "real" and not just some far off fantasy.

We met with our local priest on Tuesday to go over FOCUS test results.  Tomorrow is my shower.  Sunday I get my invites and have my first dress fitting.  Last weekend we met with our priest, organist, had our food tasting and bought accessories like our aisle runner and ring bearer pillow.

I am soooooooo excited and can't wait to start my life together with my fiance, but at the same time, I'm cherishing this preparation and anticipation time and trying not to wish it away.

Happy Friday!

Re: Finally starting to feel real

  • Happy Friday.

Congratulations. The meetings with the Priest were what made it sink in for me too. Maybe because I was busy with the retreats and focused on my faith that I really didn't pay attention to the wedding in the beginning.
  • jenjlgsings, that's so fun for you.  I have various moments too, like when we ordered our wedding bands, that may have also been the sticker shock ha ha.  jenjlgsings where in upstate are you located?  I am also in upstate.
  • I'm getting married in Buffalo, although I currently live in Pittsburgh.  I moved here in August (even though I still consider Buffalo my home) : )

<div>Ah I totally get that.  I live upstate near Albany, but grew up near Buffalo, where we are actually having our wedding.  Funny thing though Pittsburgh has been talked about as places we would consider moving since I have family near there and bonus I'm a Steelers fan.</div>
