  I'm so nervous about this check because it is so important.  FI isn't getting into town until the week before the wedding and I'm just paranoid/terrified that the register of deed's office will be closed that week for some reason :-P

  Yay! We're getting ours next month. I'm taking a Monday morning off from work since my FI also has the day off so we can go.

  We can't get ours until the month of because it has to signed and filed within 30 days of getting it...so we are planning on going around April 12th :S

We're supposed to have it at least 72 hrs before the wedding, but our officiant said he can waive that. My plan is to get to the county clerk's office at the crack of dawn that Thursday and be the first in line.</div>

  We got ours on Valentine's Day! It was nice to check it off the list, even though we didn't have to do it right away (in the county in Maryland where we are getting married they are valid 48 hours after you get them, for six months).

  
  

  ETA: We did not both have to go, only one person needed to be present... but I was home sick from work and we thought it would be fun.

  Von-Wow, that's nice!  I think ours is good for 60 days but it's a 13 hr trip for us so I'm going up two weeks before the wedding and he's coming up a week before.

  We got ours last month, but ours is good for one year in AZ!  How weird is it that they are different from state to state?!

  It is strange how the rules are different everywhere.  We had to get it within 65 days of our wedding date. So we just met at town hall during our lunch breaks because we both had to be there.
