Morning ladies. The only plans I have for the weekend are to win a $15,000 diamond ring in the scavenger hunt tomorrow. It's played around downtown Pittsburgh with cell phones and clues. Last year we came in tied for fourth out of almost 300 teams. I think we can do better now that we now the playing field better and now which clues to skip. Unfortunately I have this horrible cold and sore throat I am hoping won't slow me down too much.

Morning ladies! I wish I was more comforted by the fact that it is Friday, but one of my supervisors is a douchecanoe and I have a shitton of work. The families we have been getting lately have been crazy and I am ready to rip my hair out. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer in a Friday thread though...so I will stop it there.
I will definitely be KUI this weekend, because I need it...lol

Morning ladies

Last night was fun. I don't in any way subscribe to the idea of the rapture tomorrow, however apparently my subconscious does because I kept waking up all night amidst nightmares of myself/my town being engulfed by an enormous flood.

But it is Friday and its sunny which makes things a hell of a lot better

Thanks! To be fair, belugas don't look much like other whales, but I thought it was pretty funny.

I'm so glad it's finally Friday, this weekend we are making a trip to Goodwill to clear a bunch of old stuff out of our place, which will be satisfying, and then we are going to visit a Golden Retriever puppy that's for sale! I'm still a little nervous about getting a dog, but also really excited. We wouldn't be bringing it home this weekend or anything, but we've been thinking about getting a dog for a long time now, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to fall in love.

My Friday is a little looney. I had a follow-up interview this morning that basically did everything but promise me the job. I'm 99.98% sure that it's mine. This was just a little negotiating.

BUT, I have a first interview at a different place at noon.

We had a blast last year but mostly because it poured down rain the entire time and we were on our bike. I don't know if we will do as well this year but I would like to be in the top twenty again at least.

My nephew is in love with that song. He about flipped when he saw an actual real live beluga. He is almost 2, and ridiculously adorable.

YIO I hope you win a diamond ring - would you combine it with your current ring to make a super-engagement-ring?

I think I might sell it and out the blue diamond into my e-ring that we couldn't get before. I love my ring, but I was wavering between the ruby and the blue diamond, I chose the ruby due to the price. It wasn't settling by any means, but more like good decisions making.

Good morning! I'm off today to work on laundry and packing and cleaning up before we fly out to CA tomorrow morning.

I got up at 8am, ate some breakfast, watched some Glee, then fell asleep on the couch lol. Got back up at 11am, took a shower, ate some lunch, and now I'm here. With a clay mask on my face that looks like baby poop (primping my skin for the wedding) and polishing my toenails since they were chipping (toe separators and all!).

Not sure how much I'll be around the next week or so, but I'll try, since I love you gals so much. My phone's already blowing up with calls and texts from our parents haha.

I just finished my pie. Look delicious. Now I just have to wait for it to set. FI better remember to bring home the whipped cream I forgot to buy yesterday.

I really like the Estee Lauder mask. It's pricier than a drug store version, but it works wonderfully. Plus, it's a pretty aqua color instead of baby poop brown.

YIO - I'm addicted to the Arcona line of skincare products. They're all-natural (as in, I recognize everything listed in the ingredients), and smell great. I discovered them at a cosmetics trend show in San Jose last Fall.

Most everything smells like fruit or plants. The only product of theirs that I've found that I don't like the smell of is their PM Acne serum. It smells like A1 steak sauce and sweaty gym socks. I'll keep using it because it works great though (gets rid of breakouts in 1-2 days). Their Raspberry Toning Bar and Triad Pads are Will's favorite. He says the make him want to eat my face lol.

Anyway, the mask I've been using the past few weeks is their Instant Lift Kit. I got it on sale when I purchased my White Tea Cleanser. I liked it because in the description, it says that it's great for special occasions. It smells kind of like oatmeal (nothing chemical-y though) and as it dries it gets tight feeling. Once you wash it off, you put on their Peptide Firming Complex (smells like roses) and leaves your face smoothy-smooth.
