Anybody doing anything exciting? I spent all day running errands and dealing with jackasses who don't know how to drive in the rain.. I'm settling down with a glass of wine right now. I feel like I deserve it!

Anybody going to be watching the Niner game tomorrow? H bleeds red and gold, so I hope they don't disappoint him.. What a season it's been though!

There was a big celebration at my local market today so they had gobs of samples, giveaways, and great sales. I'm kinda thrilled about the little packets of GF chocolate cupcake mix that can be baked in the microwave that they gave away. Also, there were a bunch of different hair and skin care items, lunch size snack packs, and even cat food samples. My cats approve highly.

Other than that I did some basic chores today, am attempting to reorganize my spice rack, will be heading to the basement to run soon, and am planning activities to do when my niece visits me tomorrow. I suppose I could do a bit of homework too. But that's no fun.

Edie - Isn't it exciting when the new license comes? The only thing I'm upset about is that I had to take a new picture, and it's AWFUL! What's sad is that I even thought I looked cute that day.. DMV photographers seem to have a special talent.

Anna - You run in a basement? Lol, sorry that just sounded funny. Is there a gym there?

I sat in all day because of the snow and did some cleaning.

I made a yummy caponata in my crock pot. Now, The Notebook is on and im going to make apple crisp for H to take the Patriots game tomorrow.

Blue - What's caponata? I just got a crock pot for the wedding, and am looking for some good recipes.

Also, my family loves the Patriots because Brady is a hometown boy. H hates them though, because Brady is a hometown boy, lol. He feels he should be playing for the 49ers. I'm good with either them or the Ravens winning, but I would kind of like to see the Ravens win, and we win, then it will be rematch of the Thanksgiving "Harbaugh Bowl" at the Super Bowl. I'm sure we can take them this time!

Yep. My treadmill, exercise bike, tv, radio, exercise ball, resistance bands, a few hand-weights. We're working on making it a personal gym. i like it. Here in S.D., most outdoor exercise is impossible most of the year due to either ungodly cold or oppressively humid weather.

i'm pretty proud of it. It's all been yard sale and discount store finds. Now all I need is to have some new year's resolutioner get sick of their new weight bench and weights so I can buy them cheap on Craigslist. ;)

Caponata is an eggplant dish. Diced eggplant, red pepper, onion, capers, black olives, salsa,etc.

Usually you eat it over toasted bread, but I like it over pasta. I baked some chicken too.

I love eggplant and found a great recipe for the crock pot so i gave it a go. It turned out pretty good.

I played Angry Birds to a point, then I got frustrated with it and mad, and refuse to play it. :-P My favorite iPhone app is Tiny Zoo Friends. Yes, I realize how lame that sounds.

I grow eggplant in my garden and its so good fresh. I love eggplant. Its probably my favorite vegetable.

We just finished some garlic cheddar chicken with roasted potatoes and veggies on the side. Delicious. Another Pinterest recipe success. We're watching Open Range in front of the fire and just relaxing.

I know I've eaten it before, but I can't remember when or how it was prepared. I want to say it was a tempura eggplant. I don't know if that's right though, and I'm pretty sure the fried stuff negates any healthy benefits from it.

I made banana chocolate chip muffins tonight and adam ate FIVE of them. He is such a strangely skinny man. We are watching friends and Adam keeps pressuring me to watch that 50/50 movie but I am not in the mood for a movie. I havnt been feeling "movies" lately, it seems like so much commitment.

DH loves anything breaded and fried. Thats how I get him to go out for Asian food...as long as there is deep fried anything (ideally spring rolls and tempura) he's in.
