Toccoa, GA wedding site?

Hi Girls,

I have a client that is looking for a wedding site that will allow them to rent the venue - they will set up the reception and have their own caterer brought in.  They couple likes nature sites and are hoping to have a beautiful outdoor setting for the ceremony and the reception inside.  They would be renting the tables and dinnerware unless they are provided by the venue. Any ideas?

I appreciate your help!

Thanks,
Rebecca Bunch

You might check out Deerfield Ranch in Dahlonega, not far from Toccoa.  Here is a link:

It is a 200 acre wildlife preserve with herds of deer, horse, swans and the like.  It rents for $1500 a day and you can bring in all your own stuff.

Your client may want to research the Toccoa area before deciding upon it for their wedding. There aren't a whole lot of venues in the Toccoa area. They should expand their search to other areas nearby like Clayton, Clarkesville, and Dahlonega. What is their budget? Many of the venues in the North Georgia mountains require you to use an in-house caterer or select from a list of approved caterers offered. There is a place in between Cleveland and Helen, Georgia called Smithgall Woods they might be interested in. It has BEAUTIFUL cabins (I think 4 or 5) that can be rented and a large open field in between the cabins. It is VERY private as well. Yes, you can bring your own caterer, but they would have to rent a tent as well or, depending on their wedding size, could use the main large cabin as their wedding/reception site. There are beautiful creeks and waterfalls on-site, and visitors aren't allowed back by the cabins unless they are on a set list. It was where we were going to have our wedding, but we opted for a local winery with a large deck and lodge (you have to use a caterer from their list as well.) Good luck!

I went to a wedding at North Georgia Tech that was absolutely lovely. :) Check them out!
