FI and I had our first officiall meeting with the pastor yesterday, it was awesome!!
We weren't really expecting to have premarriage counseling meetings, so when we went we didn't know what to expect. He asked us about what we see for ourselves in 5, 10, 15 and 20 years. What's funny is that although FI and I have talked about our future, it's mostly been how many kids we want and what life will be like for us in 5 years (we want to move to a bigger place by then). I don't know why, but we haven't really talked about what would happen past that. It was really cool to know that although we hadn't talked about it, we actually both had pretty much the same ideas as to where we'd like to be that far from now.
He also gave us each a questionare to answer individually (our homework) and we'd discuss the questions/answers at the next meeting in march. I am so excited! I love finding that there are things about the man I love that I may not know, and I really value getting to know his heart better

While we were at the church I was able to take some measurements and have figured out how far down from the top I can start the design on the aisle runner. I'm pretty excited to get this project underway! I can't start till monday, though, I've promised myself that I will severely limit my wedding projects on the weekends since that's almost the only time I actually get to spend with my super busy FI!
I also ordered our first batch of thank you cards. I figured it was time since we got our first wedding gift the other day when a check from my grandparents arrived to pay for part of our plane tickets for the honeymoon.
anyone else have checks to share?

I also bought my fake gerbera daisies yesterday to go around the stems of my centerpieces (wine glasses with blue stones and led light on top of a mirror). We will cut the stems off and figure out a way to get them around the stems...maybe twist ties or wire.
I will have more checks tomorrow because I am going to help my mom, aunt, and MOH with shower things.
[QUOTE]Mine is NWR, we looked at more potential homes today and found a few great ones. We ended up not being able to go to the credit union though to get preapproved for the mortgage since someone forgot some important papers for it.

I snorted when I read this. I wonder who "someone" is? Oh well, there's always Monday!

I LOL'd at this! Oops!! I can imagine who the "someone" is!
I ordered my guestbook with pen, flower girl basket, ring bearer pillow, and garter. Went to Men's warehouse yesterday and bout hit the floor because the men have it sooooo much more easier than the women. The GM will get $40 off their tux and since we have more than 5 ppl on groom's side the groom will get his tux for free or if he buys his tux he will can get a suit valued at $450 free! The next time someone asks me to be in their wedding I'm going to ask to be a groomsmen.
Went to DB and bought my shoes (PS: don't go to DB on a Saturday in the afternoon - it's a zoo!)
Ordered my veil and hair fascinator from Etsy
Confirmed BM and FG dress delivery dates. My MOH is a giant box of crazy right now and took her dress out of the order and pretty much disappeared into the night.
Ordered my wedding day/night lingerie
Got the wedding day transportation in the works - not finalized
Whew; I think that's a pretty productive day...
We reserved all of the rental items that we'll need for the wedding.
And I think we've finally decided on invitations!
