Ha! Fuuck no. It's my hair and I'm the one that has to style it every day. Now if H wanted to wash, dry and style my hair every single day, then sure. I'll get it cut how he wants. But otherwise, uh no.
I grew mine out and highlighted it because FI likes it better that way, but I think I'm going to dye it back to dark before the wedding and then do a wife chop. He's not the one who has to deal with it everyday!
I don't think it's bad to make your hair the way your FI/H likes.
This makes me laugh, because if Ben wanted me to cut my hair I'd probably laugh in his face. My hair is freakin' long, and a pain in my ass, but if I cut it short I look like I'm 12. And Ben already looks like he's 12, we don't need to be a couple of 12 year olds getting carded all the time. At least now, I get to be a cougar. Kinda.
I do like Ben's hair to be a little bit longer because I like playing with it, but he has to keep it cut all short and professional for work. Lameballs. He really should get a job on the radio like me, then no one gives a flying shiit what you look like.
My hair is long now because I gave Charlie the choice of how he would like me to look for the wedding (since I'm going to be his bride and all), and he picked an updo. So I guess he has some control over my headcurtain right now.
But as soon as the wedding is over, this crap is getting cut off. I much prefer short hair, and I hate having all this mess on my head.
Back in the day, like when I was a teenager or in college, hair cutting was generally a prelude to getting rid of a guy, since guys tend to like it long and I like it short, and it was a confidence thing. But thankfully Charlie generally likes my hair no matter how I wear it.
I ask his opinion on the style/cut. The only thing I have really done that he asked was let my hair grow out naturally. I generally always have it dyed black w/ another color. So natural it is for me for awhile!

Well, FI has no opinion on my hair at all. But assuming he did, I'd probably give him some input unless I hated the way I felt/looked with that style. It is, after all, my hair.
I don't have a problem with woman cutting or styling their hair however her SO likes it. I just don't do it because well 1. most hairstyles look good on me (not trying to brag but whatev). 2. I'm not entirely sure what style H likes most because I don't think he's ever told me. He usually just says stuff like "Your hair is so beautiful and soft" especially if we're outside.
I do, partially. I try to cut/style it the way he likes best, but sometimes I need to change it up a bit, and he always comes around to the change. For example, he thought he wouldn't like bangs on me, and he totally does. But he does like it long, and even though it's sorta a pain in the ass, I keep it long anyway.

I change my hair so much he barely has time to get used to what I have before it's different again. He tells me he doesn't like it short, and I don't either, but he also tells me not to let it grow any longer than it is now (shoulder length) but I am. If he absolutely hated something I might consider changing it for him, but I don't tell him how to cut his hair (because I'm the one to cut his hair, ).

H thought I'd look good with short hair, and I felt like doing something different so I did. I didn't like it though, so I'm just going to grow it out. He grows his out until he can't stand it anymore because he knows I like it a bit longer than he normally wears it. I think he looks hot either way, so it always works out.
I don't think FI would even have an opinion (other than don't shave it off) about how I cut my hair.
Every time FI goes to get a haircut he asks me what he should get. But really, he only has 1 hairstyle that he always gets, so he doesn't have any options to begin with. He keeps saying he's going to shave his head and I admit that I tell him he would look ridiculous. So far he's listened.
I think I married the only man on the planet who doesn't like long hair. Mine's getting Pentecostal long and H wants me to cut it really badly. I'm holding out for a while.

I have really fine hair, and told my stylist that I wanted more volume last time I went to get my hair cut. She ended up doing something, maybe called a reverse c-layer? where she cut the under-layers of my hair shorter in order to push the top layers up. You can't see the short ones at all, and my hair is nowhere near as limp anymore. I wish I knew the right terminology.

I think he likes it longer, but I just don't care, and he knows better than to imply otherwise.

Ha! My BIL is the same way.
I cut off almost a foot of hair last year. He pouted because he liked it long, but he got over it quickly.
I'm growing attached to this longer length, but N said he wouldn't mind if it were shorter. I think I'm shedding.
