Dr. HS finally gave up on me and is sending me to a specialist. My third lab blood test came back in the 150 region. He tested it my glucose again with a One Touch monitor in his office and it was 151.
He says I am the first person he hasn't been confident in diagnosing (the glucose levels are high, but I have no symptoms and am a "bean pole."). I said that is OK, that is what second opinions are for. So...off I go to another doctor, which I really didn't want. I want to stay with Dr. HS for most everything.
My question to you - is there anything I should be sure to ask or mention when I see the specialist? I am planning on getting copies of all of my old bloodowork from Dr. HS so I can have lots of data for the specialist
If push comes to shove, at least I have H. He knows about food and can cook me good meals. However, I am really afraid at the notion of 'having" to eat. Me and my stomach have a tumultuous relationship; when I am sad/upset/stressed, I do not want to eat, and if forced to eat, the food evacuates itself. Not ideal conditions for a diabetic.
Thanks again for toletrating all of the stupid questions.
