Engagement Photos - Advice Wanted!

We're going to take our engagement photos on Thursday - I am SO DARNED excited!

I'm doing my makeup trial that morning since I figured I'd get the most value for it by doing it then so my pictures will look pretty.  I don't figure it's a big deal if FI sees my face all made up before the wedding - I'm not getting my hair done, so that will look totally different.

Then we're taking a ferry to Long Island - I'm petrified my hair will get screwy, so I'm going to try to stay inside, but I might get motion sick that way.  Blah!  So since we're bringing changes of clothes anyway, we'll bring a little suitcase and I'll put my hair dryer and styling products in there in case I need to re-do my hair from scratch.

So far we have two outfits - more formal, where he'll wear dress jeans, a button down, and nice black shoes & and I'll be in a ruffled blue dress and sparkly blue heels, and the more casual, where he'll switch to a teal polo with gray and white strips and I'll wear jeans, a white shirt with a yellow ruffled top or a pink shrug (haven't decided - I think the yellow would look better with his shirt colors, but I'm afraid the pink would be better with my skin tone).  And then I'm thinking of having him change to a gray shirt and I'll be in the same white shirt & pink shrug.

I think we're going to a few locations, but we don't have much say as we don't know the area.  I do trust our photographers, though!

Any suggestions?  Things I've forgotten?  I'm horrible with accessories, but afraid it's too late to order anything online - anyone have any suggestions on what to wear or not wear for accessories?

    Wow! You put a lot of thought into your pictures! You have thought of WAY more than I would ever have thought of. You'll look great!

    No advice really. Ours were pretty laid back. I didn't wear much jewelry because I wanted my ring to really be the only thing on my fingers/wrist.

    If anything, just let your photographer take the lead. I felt silly doing them because it's kinda awkward but the pictures turned out more amazing than I could have imagined!

    Relax and enjoy :-) and post some when you get back!

    Talk about awkward... FI's Mom wanted to tag along while we did them.  Uh, no!  So we asked if she'd come on Friday instead to see the venue.  I think that was a bigger attraction, thank goodness!  I can't imagine being all kissy-face with him with his Mom watching!

    LoL, I agree. However, you have to get use to it before the wedding! Although it was easier to zone everyone out during the wedding.

    I think the wedding is different - we'll be taking our couples photos before since we're having a 'first look', so no one will be there besides our photographers.  And I don't mind being affectionate in front of people in general - his Mom is just weird.  Ever seen Glee?  She's Sue Sylvester.  All sharp edges, crude and abrasive, nothing soft, fuzzy, or maternal.  My FMIL was posing on FB yesterday in a bikini.  Yep.

    I'm really impressed C! You've totally thought of everything!!

    I generally only wear earrings and my rings. My earrings only vary between diamond and pearl studs. I would just wear those if I were you (If you don't have any go to Target or something, they'll have them and they'll be pretty cheap)

    I can't wait to see how they turn out!!!!!

    C- There's no way in hell I'd want H's mom to be at our engagement pictures. My best friend was there and that was even a little awkward!
