La Reine Bridal - are the bad reviews legit?

Ok ladies, I know people have asked about La Reine in the past, but I need updates. Is it really all horror stories like some reviews say? I've been looking on several review sites, and it looks like most of the nightmares are from a few years ago and maybe they have gotten their act together more recently. Has anyone had a really good or really bad experience there in the past year or so?

I already was there for an appointment so I'm not so worried about forgotten appointments or a bad consultant - my consultant was actually great and I really liked it there. I'm more worried about lost orders and horrible alterations at this point.

Help please!

You should definitely be worried about lost orders and horrible alterations.... One of the married knotties ordered a dress there and they gave her another girl's dress. She knew it wasn't hers because it was the wrong size, but they wouldn't switch them back. She had to send the dress back to the designer for alterations (in Canada!) and got the dress like a week before her wedding.

If I were you, I'd try to find the same designer at another store.

I had 2 friends and 1 cousin get dresses from there without any issues.

As with other salons, I would recommend you take it elsewhere for alterations though.

My friend's sister bought her dress at this store and it was supposed to be in last month - when she called to ask if the dress had arrived they told her it would be 2 more months! Her wedding is at the end of May so she has the extra time but that would stress me out! I am not sure if it is common for a dress to take that much longer to come in - and why didn't they tell her sooner?
