T's and P's for my little sis

Hi knotties,

I was wondering if I could please have T's and P's for my little sister. She is having a hard time in college right now and deling with what our father did to us as kids. He wasn't the greatest dad and I know that if I didn't have my Best Friend, helping me through everything I would have been in trouble. My sister's been drinking quiet a bit, and I just found out that a friend had to stop her fomr hurting herself. I ws told that she's been getting drunk almost everynight, plus she is failing some of her classes. I'm going to hopefully see her after I gradute on Sunday to see how she is doing, but can I please have T's and P's

Freshman year can be really tough on some people, and everyone reacts differently. It's not too late to talk to her.

I can kind of relate to this. I don't want to go into what my dad did to me and my brother as kids, but I will say it took me a long, long time to come to terms with it (actually, in some ways, I still haven't). When I was a freshman in college, I started drinking a lot as well... What your sister needs is people to let her know that they care about her and what she's doing - and it sounds like she has an awesome sister who will do just that.

That sounds almost exactly like my brother last year and our family situation. Thoughts and prayers to you! My brother saw a therapist and it has really helped him!

I talked to her about seeing a therpist and she said she would think about. But that talk happened over a month ago. With the new information I found out tonight, I relly hope she does. I am still getting over what happened to me, and for me, seeing someone nad tlkingabout it, helps alot. I just hope she listens to me and to the rest of my family that is trying to help her.

<div>My parents got divorced (well started - they're still haven't completely settled everything) in 2006 and he just started going this past summer. We didn't push him to do it, but one day he was ready to go. I, like you, had 4 best friends that <em>made</em> me talk about it. Will do. My dad walked out on us in 2001. She just turned 9 when it happened
