  I had two appts at davids bridal. the first one was ok and the second one was horrible. The first one I brought my mom, grandma and sister to try on wedding dresses and the sales girl dissappeared for most of the appt and kept on pulling halters after i repeatly said i dont like halters. thank god my sister was with me to help me in and out of the dresses.
  
  the second appt was with my bridesmaids for their dresses. my sister is plus size and bigger then the other girls and has some skin issues so she wanted a more modest cut dress. the sales girl kept pulling these strapless unflattering dresses for her and I can see how discouraged my sister was compared to the other bridesmaids. then the sales girl made a comment "order your street size to save on alterations because everyone looses weight before a wedding." I would think she would ask them to order a size up or something and i do not expect any of my bridesmaids to loose anything because i think they are all beautiful just the way they are. What a horrible experience.

  I went to a placed called Strut. They specialize in plus size wedding dresses. They only carry dresses 14+. The owner Ann was amazing. I felt very good about my choice and found my dream dress. They were also very reasonable.
